I guess Stampin' Up! announced on July 1st that all NEW stamp sets will be die-cut!!!!! How AWESOME is that?!?!?! I'm SOOO excited!!! Sorry if this has already been posted, but I haven't seen it anywhere...
Will the prices of the stamp sets go up a lot, or will they stay around the same with this change -- anyone know?
Michele
That's a good question. I was wondering too. Anyone know?

Not sure about the pricing.......but haven't seen anything on the demo website. I would think they would have announced a price increase.
Not necessarily. I think the only time price increases are announced is if there is going to be an across the board increase. If they wanted to price the new stamps higher due to being die-cut, all they'd have to do is list them at that increased price in the new catalog. Since they wouldn't be carry-overs, no one would know if the price was really higher or not. Many of the newer sets just come out at what appear to be higher prices when you compare the size and style of the set to existing sets.
I am so excited about this, too! The stamps that are die-cut will have a little dot that says "die cut" in the catty. We haven't been told anything about pricing for the new catty yet.
I am so glad to hear that the new stamp sets will be die cut, and I am even willing to pay a few extra dollars to get them that way, it just means that I get to play sooner and I don't have to worry about wheather I have cut them properly.
I believe the price for the die cut stamps will be slightly higher...at least that is what I noticed in the Spring mini catalog...but I agree that it's so worth it. I loved the SAB and spring mini sets that were diecut.
This is exciting news! I didn't think I cared that much until my SAB sets arrived and you had to peel me off the ceiling because they were die cut. Guess I was excited!
About the price increase...all the winter and spring mini were die cut...did anyone notice an increase? I think there was a tiny increase there, but no one noticed.
Yay SU!
I am SUPER-EXCITED about this! There is usually an increase in price anyway, so I'm glad to have the die-cutting. Feels like you're getting something for the increase!!
I love the die cut stamps, and also loved the SAB and occasions sets. I just hate that I have a $20 pair of scissors that were purchased expressly for that purpose. Also, I am planning to sign up as a demo with the new catty and am hoping that I don't get another pair of rubber scissors in my kit.

Well, some people still like to trim a little bit closer than the die cuts. Plus you can cut up the extra rubber and make custom shapes stamps. And the "carryover" sets still won't be die cut, so if you get any of those you'll still need to trim them.
If you get an extra set in your kit, you could use them as a prize for a special promotion (order at least 3 sets and get your name in the drawing)

I think quite a few people noticed the price went up when the minis were die cut. At least the people I chat with all did.
I'm really excited, and I have to say - it's about time! When I talk to someone new to SU they always really give me a weird look when I have to explain they have to cut out the rubber and assemble the stamps. These are much more user-friendly.
I am a very big fan of SU, and I am excited to see the new stuff..I think the die cut stamps will definitely be on my wish list..and I am hoping for a larger scallop circle punch.
