Demo Sign-up Specials?
Does anyone know yet if there are going to be any sign-up specials for signing up to be a demo for May or not? Last year they offered the kit for $99. I am signing up, but was holding out to see if there were any incentives to get more people to sign up. Any info would be great.
Thanks, |
No Demo specials have been announced - it may not be for awhile since one just ended last month.

Well, Stampin' Up! just had a discount on the starter kit for Sale A Bration. I'm not sure they would have another one so soon. I think last year the $99 special was on a smaller kit, wasn't it? I wasn't a demo then, so I don't know for sure, but that's what I remember hearing about.
Either way, I haven't heard of anything yet. |
Yes...last year's $99.00 kit that was offered was a much smaller kit. Only a couple stamp sets, the business supplies, and a few other things. Designed more for people that feel they have everything already. The last promo they had during SAB, 20% off which made it $159.00, was a FABULOUS deal! Haven't heard of anything lately as of yet. Hopefully something soon though!

I am going to sign up regardless, but was hoping for a deal. I do already have EVERYTHING!! I was a demo 6 years ago and got out of it. My current demo is moving out of state and there is a really good customer base here already so I am signing up to take them since I introduced them all to her anyway. I just figured I would wait until May 1st before signing up, but if there aren't going to be any specials, I might go ahead and sign up next week.

Well, if you end up with things you already have, you can trade them on SCS, or offer them to customers as incentives! Best of luck!

Thanks for the replies. I really appreciate it.

Convention registration opens May 6th. If you sign up soon, you would be able to go to convention.

Can someone explain how the whole Demo thing works? Do you have to sell a certain amount each month?

You do not need to sell a certain amount each month, but you do need to sell a total of $300 in merchandise every 3 months. The quota for the quarter you sign up in does not count, but any sales you make then do go toward the quarter that does count (so if you sign up in May, you don't have to meet the April-June quota, but you do need to sell $300 before the end of September). I'm sure that a demo local to you would be very willing to sit down with you and show you a brochure about what SU has to offer someone...even if you are only curious. A good demo won't pressure you, just give you the info you want. You can go to www.stampinup.com and use the Demo Locator to find a demo near you if you do not currently have one. I'm guessing (GUESSING...no inside info) that there will be a good sign-up special in June. |
I just heard that the SU sign on special for Oct. has been carried over until Nov. 11th. You receive either a free big shot, or $100 in extra product of your choice. You can also customize your kit as well. I am very tempted by this.

LOL, Karen! Go for it! It's a heckuva deal, and you'd have until the end of March to reach your first $300 sales minimum.
|
sign up. then decide to stay or niot. no harm. great savings
|
Karen--hope you decide to join! It's such a great deal I just signed up and got my kit last week! I had so much fun going through EVERYTHING we get in the kit--and I chose the $100 in extra product! I've always been my "best customer", now to find others to join--either as a demo or just a stampin' buddy! Best of luck to you! (PS--I learned of this site from my upline years ago--never wanted to be a demo, but this is what made me change my mind!-there is so much support here!)
