Today DH said to me: "Would I be a horrible husband if I asked you to pick whatever yu wanted for Christmas from your catalog and wrapped it for you when it comes in and put it under the tree? With school and stuff I don't know how much time I have to shop for you, and I want you to get stuff ou like. I've ordered a couple things online, but would I be lame for asking you to pick out the rest of your gifts? If you are mad, I'll think of something else."
HELLO???? Mad?? No way! This is awesome!!!!!!!!!!! So my catty and me are doing some serious snuggling - and I'm making a huge dent in my wishlist!! Woohoo!! And he's gonna wrap it himself?!?! Wow - I must've done something right !
Dh asked the same thing this year! Believe it or not, I told him no! BUT... in my defense, I have my eye on a pretty ruby necklace at the jewelry store. ;)
Last year, I went to a stampcamp and my upline gave me a wish list to give to my hubby. Boy, oh boy did I have a list (new to S/U, having been away from stamping for 6 years, prev. w/CTMH). I NEEDED everything. I kept bugging him, have you called Toni (my upline), have you called Toni? He said no, can you have her call me? She called him at our business, AND called my mom and son in CA, at their request. They all gave her credit card numbers, and then she had to email me because believe it or not, I didn't have "enough" on my list! She then ordered it, wrapped it all, after cutting the rubber on everything! I was assembling all the way back to OR from So Cal! Now that was better than "Nordstrom" style of customer service! And now, I'm in her down line!
The moral of the story is - You never know what comes to those that do good.
I would love DH to say that. But he would rather buy me stuff since I get SU! stuff all year.
So what are you going to pick?
My pencil actually ran out of lead last night, I wrote so much! I am giving myself a limit, (enough to get a hostess set and something for free) - but we aren't really doing a crazy amount of Christmas for anyone else this year so I don't think it is fair to spend tons on the 2 of us, and DD. BUT, I am making him tons of stuff (2 albums, desk calendar, shadowbox) and have bought him a couple of small things (Lost Season 2, Dwight Schrute bobblehead :mrgreen so I guess I should get something in return! Also, by the time I am done making all of these candles, cards, calendars, bookmarks, journals, and everything else I'm making for Christmas (to avoid the spending craze) I will need new goodies!
My dilema is do I buy goodies i want (stamp sets and punches) or goodies I need (paper, aquapainters, ep, etc). Or a mix of both?? I think I am leaning towards goodies I want, so I have an excuse to get supplies I need during SAB!
My DH did the same thing. November is my hostess month with SU. DH said do you mind if I give you $150 to pick out what you want and you just can't use it or have it until Christmas. Not a problem with me!
I just took over the shopping for my husband. I put it in his secret hiding place, with the receipt, so he knows how much of a deal I got on my presents. He's happy, since he didn't have to fight the crowds, I'm happy, since I got exactly what I wanted.
