Agreed, they don't give us "in advance" info like they used to. My guess would be that the new catty is the hype right now, so I'd think the incentives might come a little later this year. Although, right now is a GREAT time to join since you get 30% off you first order as a demo!! What do you oher demos think?

Do they usually repeat promotions for new demos? Just wondering because I signed last August and received a color group of ink pads. Seems like that would be worth waiting for if someone was wondering when to start.

On the 26th of July, I went straight to the source by emailing SU. Here's what "she" said in the reply...
Dear Ellen,
Thank you for contacting us with your inquiry regarding the availability of a recruiting incentive for July. Ellen, we can understand your desire for this information; however, we regret to inform you that we have not been advised of any upcoming recruiting promotions. Up coming promotions are kept confidential until it is time for them to be announced. Please watch the Web site or contact your demonstrator for updated information. We apologize that we could not be of more help to you.
Thank you again for your e-mail. We appreciate your understanding in this matter. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
Sincerely,
Demonstrator Support

Hum... SU! just Changed their Stampin' Start Program... now you can earn up to 9 free sets (any price) during your first 6 months... perhaps THIS is the great incentive you have been waiting for. Contact your demo for more details! Good luck!

I wish I had the opputunity to get 9 free stamp sets when I joined. That's ok though, I still did get my fill of free sets.

Because I'm so entirely new to the possibility of becoming a demo I have a silly question. How do you earn up to 9 free sets? Is there a goal that has to be reached and if so, what is it, etc.?
Thanks so much!

Hopefully this will help...from the SU Website... Ask your demo for details... This is a great plan and completely acheivable!
There are several differences between the current Stampin' Start program and the revised Stampin' Start program. Under the revised program- Recruits can earn up to nine stamp sets.
- Recruits have six months to complete the program.
- The sales portion is divided into two three-month periods. The sales goal for the first period is $1,800; the sales goal for the second period is $3,000. Sales totals do not carry over from the first three months; demonstrators will start with a balance of $0 at the beginning of month four.
- The recruiting goal is three recruits A new recruit will earn a free stamp set for each new demonstrator she signs up, up to three free sets.
- A recruit can earn free stamp sets for each goal that she reaches; she doesn't have to achieve both sales goals and the recruiting goal to benefit from the program. The number of stamp sets that a new recruit can earn varies depending on the goal:
- If a recruit achieves the first sales goal ($1,800), she'll receive two free stamp sets.
- If a recruit achieves the second sales goal ($3,000), she'll receive four free stamp sets.
- A new recruit can earn up to three free stamp sets for recruiting new demonstrators (one free set for each new demonstrator).
To complete the entire Stampin' Start program, a demonstrator must achieve both sales goals and recruit three new demonstrators. Each recruit who achieves all the goals of the Stampin' Start program will receive the following, in addition to her nine free stamp sets:- A congratulations Stampin' Mail message
- A certificate of achievement
- An exclusive Stampin' Start Achiever's apron

Hey, that's OK. When I joined my kit was $400 and there were no free sets to earn regardless of how much you sold.
Deals have definately gotten sweeter over the years!

Any signinh up specials now?
I can wait a bit, I don't need to be signed up until around the first of September. Also could some one tell me how the quarters are split up?

You ladies should read my reply to another post on this thread. I just returned from the SU! Convention and we don't know of any stamping specials now or in the near future. I'd encourage you not to wait. NOW is the time with the new catalog! Perfect time to get all set up and ready to launch your business for the fall. AND perfect time for the current quarter.

Thank you for telling me what the Quarters are, hard information to get, even my demo hadn't told me, even though I asked. Signing up soon, very soon I hope!

Just a little FYI.....
last years promo with the full size ink pads was a VERY unusual one. I have talked to some of my up-up-up line gals that have been around for 10 years and they all said that is the best promo they can EVER remember, and it had never been done before.
So, PLEASE don't wait for that particular promo, since you may not ever see it again! we don't have any word from the 'mothership' on promos for August yet (customer specials NOR recruiting if any), but I'm sure it will be posted here once demos know!
And.....JMHO, but if your future upline can't answer simple questions line when quarters are split, then maybe you might want to check out other upline options. PLEASE DON'T YELL AT ME FOR SAYING THAT!!! I'm just throwing it out there.....that is a pretty easy question, and any SU demo should be able to tell you that without checking anything.
BEST OF LUCK to all you thinking about signing.....it is a TON OF FUN!

I'm sure someone would spill the beans if they knew it!!! I saw somewhere else that the special will be 15 Aug - 15 Sep - don't know what it is though. We demos won't find out until the Sept issue of our Stampin' Success magazine is posted online, or until someone on SCS receives theirs in the mail, whichever is first...
I'm anxious to know too... I have another recruit just waiting for a special!

No, No, No, No...these are the dates for the American Heart Assoc promotion. We don't know ANYTHING about any recruiting specials. I swear. It has not been announced. It was a rumer that was posted on the demo side. Nothing else is known.

Thanks Tricia. I knew those were the AHA dates but you're right, I can't say that I know anything for sure. It was totally speculation. LOL, I hate not having those dang edit buttons!!!

It would make sense for them to announce something soon, since CM just announced they are lowering the cost to become a consultant. I know that they are very different companies but they do sell some similiar items and compete for the same crafters.
I am really hoping for something because I have ants in my pants to sign up.
