SCS Vancouver BC - Fri 22nd Mtg ~*FINAL INFO*~
Daven has given the ok for me to organize a SCS meeting in Vancouver BC!!!
We will meet the night of the 21st or 22nd of October. This meeting correlates with the SU! Seminar…..but is not exclusive to Demo’s.
I need you to post here if
1) You plan on coming and.....
2) Which night works best for you.
The regional seminar ends at 4pm, I think. So we will meet a 5pm if that is the case.
I would like to get a head count to know what facility or restaurant to reserve for us.
This will be a Meet, Greet, Swap……………and maybe a few prizes and secrets reveled!

Ok ….my dear friends, Here are the final details!
There will be 35 people attending! So the swap is for 34+ 1 full card for Hospice of Whatcom County. I am so excited about that. I talked with them and they were so excited to give them to the volunteers to take with them on there visits. This will defiantly help raise there spirits and lighten their hearts! We will also have some prizes for the best card! I have little ballots
I am hoping that you will all make a pin with your SCS user name AND SCS on the pin. There will be a prize for the best pin! If you see someone at the seminar that is wearing one and you have the same exact swap for our swap…….don’t swap with them. Saves you both from getting doubles! Please ask each other if they have a different swap for our meeting….this may be a moot point!
Dinner Reservations are at Milestones on Pender. Here are the directions FROM the convention center……
From the Pan Pacific go south on Burrard St. until you get to Robson.
Go
east (turn right) on Robson & go 1.5 blocks. We are on the North side
of
Robson in between Thurlow & Bute.
This is going to be some real fun! My only concern is that I will be too loud and we will get kicked out of the restaurant!!! LOL! I have been working with a few SPECIAL PEOPLE on SCS and we will have some very fun prizes!
I look forward to meeting you all on the 22nd at 5:30 PM! Please let me know if you have any other questions! I will be heading up thusday night, please know that I need to answer any questions before that day!

ACK!!! I didn't get to seminar sign up in time and didn't get to register. How sad it would be for me to be there for this and not be able to go to regionals, too!  Put me down for coming and I will debate on it...

Unfortunately, I can't get time off work ... would definitely have to kidnap all those kids and I don't think any of you wish to babysit while I have a good time on the town. __________________

Lisa,
Thank you for organizing this meeting. I went to the meeting at Cafe Tu Tu Tango in Orlando. It was fun to meet people. Laurel did such an awesome job of organizing it! The only bum thing about it was that the music was too loud and then a band started playing. So it was really hard to hear and socialize once that started. Do you already have an idea of for a meeting place or dinner?

No, unfortunately it won't work out for me. The earliest flight I could get into Vancouver, BC arrives at 7:50PM and then I'd have to get to the hotel, so if all would go well, I'd arrive at the hotel around 9:00PM.
Now if SU! would hold it on the Saturday, I could have made arrangements. Oh, well, guess I need a southern vacation in the spring instead.

there WILL be a swap!!! when we get closer to the date I will make sure to let you know the amount to bring for this special swap!!!
Also.........I was thinking that everone make their own Pin to wear that has their SCS username so we can recognize each other at the seminar!!!

Right now I am looking into Milestones......they have great food and seem to have a nice atmosphere! I have contacted them and they are willing to accommodate us. I will also look into the restaurant that is located right behind the convention center……I need to find out there name still. I have eaten there one time and it was favorable, not as good as milestones....but closer. Milestones is located on Robson Street and has great shopping around it.....so that would be fun too. I will be driving alone and am willing to share my car and am sure others will do the same!
I will be letting you know in the beginning of next week where the site is!

Milestones is my FAVE! Woohoo! I always eat there right before coming home so I have a good "food memory" of each vacation....LOL
I can't wait.
I am a spaz with pins....I'll probably wear an I LOVE LANA pin instead....if it ever gets here!!
