I have mine in a CIS Paper Taker (solids) and my patterned paper is in another vertical carrier type thing from Walmart (I think it was). It has a handle and a snap. I would LOVE a CIS P3 but can't afford it right now!
I have gone to vertical storage--using magazine holders to store paper. I found some heavy duty colorful ones at Target. I store a color family in each holder and have a label on the outside with all the color names. Maybe some of you have more paper from a "family" than can fit in one holder--sure wish I did. Plus I have a ton of non SU paper for scrapping. I was at Joann's the other day and they had on clearance 12x12 magazine type holders marked down from whatever to 9 bucks a piece. So I brought 4 of those to the checkout, but they were having a 40% sale off scrapbooking stuff so they came out to $5.40 a piece and the "checker-out" lady was super kind to inform me of that so I skidaddled back to that aisle and scarfed up many more holders. They are really heavy duty and are very space saving. I could have half our basement for my stamping/scrapping stuff but I prefer being on the main level of the house so I have a very small room to keep my stuff in. I have ceiling to floor shelves on one wall and this paper storage system works great for me. Just saw in the paper today that 40% sale is still going on.

I store mine in hanging folders in a file cabinet. I use a different color of folder for each color family. The file cabinet fits under my work table so it easily acessible,
I store my open single packs in a vertical wheeled filing cart. My unopened packs I store in a filing cabinet. They are in files by single color, grouped by color family.
Here is the part of my system that I love. . . my pieces that are about 1/4 sheet or less, I store on top of my desk in a photo organizer box. I use the large size recipee cards to create a spot for each color and again grouped by color family. So, I can quickly see what I have for scraps and use them up. And what a cheap, easily accessible system!

I have mine stored in the cubes from Target. I think it was about $12 for six cubes. I didn't make all six, I made three and used the extra pieces to make more shelves. I just used some zip ties... I does take up a good deal of vertical storage, but I love it... you can't bet the price!

I store my cardstock in magazine holders. I turn the holders so they are on their "backs," so to speak, and I can slide pieces right out. I think I have...13 or 14 full....I'm a total cardstock fiend!

I store my 8 1/2 x 11 in hanging files in a plastic tote type mini file cabinet. I think I got it at Walmart. It has a lid and handle so if I go to someone else's house to card or scrap then I just take it with me. It holds 2 family colors really nicely. I use the little tabs at the top and write the name of the color with a little blotch of color beside the name (made with the markers). Scraps that are over 1/2 sheet in size I just refile, smaller pieces go in a box on my desk but I love the idea of using photo boxes to file those. Great idea!! I'm always digging through the scrap box not really sure what is in there.
I use rolling carts made by Rubbermaid (other companies make similar products) and they would fit under a counter -- but you'd have to roll them out to get access. They are basically a hanging file drawer system. I have only SU paper at this point, and each color is in a different hanging file with the type of paper on a label. When I want to use a color, I remove the whole file and then all the scraps go right back in the file before I forget! Works for me.

I keep my full sheets of cardstock in hanging folders in a regular file cabinet. But what I do that I just *love* (and can't get over how clever I was to think of this - heehee <g>) was that I keep quarter-sheets of cardstock in a photo box (that you can buy at a craft store for a couple dollars). I put Post-It Durable Tabs on the dividers already in the box so they stick up above the dividers. I have dividers for Whites, Vanillas, BB, EE, RR, SS, and Specialty (like metallic, vellum, etc). Within each color family, I don't have trouble telling which color is which. I keep my box right on my table, so all the colors are sitting right there, available and cut in quarter sheets. I'm a demo so I make mostly card fronts. If I need a half-sheet, I have to get up and cut it. I've also pre-cut a bunch of half-sheets using my Carl Cutter.
any heavy duty carrying handle unit that is as wide as the cardstock and individual alphabetized title dividers by color name of SU cardstock, for this I prefer a closed unit, but again, it need only be as big wide and deep as the cardstock. Carolyn
My cs is stored in crates with file folders. I have each color in a file, then each color family is grouped together. Same idea as a file cabinet, only it is an open crate. ;)
I also have mine in crates with hanging file folders. Also, i don't know if anyone mentioned this or not as i did not read all of the above post, but i also discovered that the 1/2 inch circle punch fits perfectly on the little white tabs, so i wrote the color name and the punched out the color to put beside it and also grouped them by color family.

I had trouble with the edges of my paper fading so I went to a two-drawer file cabinet, the cheapie kind. Tight fit but it works. I have two color groups per drawer, each color with its own file folder, and then I have some neutrals and special colors (gold, etc.) in the back of each drawer. Finally I have the retired colors for each color group in the way back of the appropriate drawer. I have a lot of cardstock, so that's why it's a tight fit. I'm sure it would be better if I didn't have all this retired cardstock, but I love some of the colors!
For scraps, I have each color scrap in a ziploc sandwich baggie, labeled front and back with the color name. Then each color family, along with neutrals, retired and designer, are in their own large gallon ziploc, again labeled front and back. All the bags go into a small tote box. This way I can always lay hands on the color I'm looking for.
When I go to make a card, I only take out a full or half sheet in the color I'm using as the base. For the layer colors, I take out the scrap bag for each color. Then, if I have to, I get up and get a full/half sheet if I don't have the right size scrap. I find that I am actually using up my scrap pieces now that I have them sorted.
I also keep white and vanilla "stampin'" scraps separately. These are small or irregular sized pieces of white and vanilla that I can use when I'm stamping an image to cut out. I don't generally keep smaller scraps of the colors but the neutrals I use, especially for swaps.

I used the Target cubes and purchased 4 boxes which each box makes 6 cubes but I didn't make all the cubes I just made enough to use the extra pieces with zip ties to make shelves and now I have each color family separated and even two cubes for the retired cardstock I have. I just set the neutrals on top cause I only have two colors.
I just bought a rolling metal storage thingee at Costco...it allows for legal sized and letter sized hanging folders. Its 29.95 and Staples has it for $39.95.
It also has two shelves and two sliding drawers. Then I found a thread about making 12 x 12 hanging folders posted by GarnetJ and I think I'm going to try this out!
I recently converted to using a small file cabinet as well, for the same reason that Anne did. I don't use CS up fast enough to be able to store it in wire cubes or vertical storage boxes!

I purchased a portable leather file box from Target...they have them in their "upscale" office collection. It works out perfectly for me. I organized the colors in hanging file folders...hope that helps!
I keep mine in a plastic rubbermaid file storage box with haning file folders for each color.
