Well, I had to abandon technolog and just draw the sketch. Here it is:
Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I scraplifted this sketch from Creating Keepsakes "Tips and Techniques" Special Issue, p. 75. If you don't have an 8x10, feel free to turn it into a matte with 2 landscape 4x6 pictures on it.
If you are scaling down to 8 1/2 x 11 (as I have), you will need to use a 5x7 picture there and reduce the size of the 5x5 picture on page two. I used two 3 1/4 x5 (portrait) and two 3 1/4 x 4 (landscape). I also lifted the 5x7 up to the top of page 1 and put my journaling below that.
Speaking of my layout, it is giving me fits. It is all done except a cute little accent I am making. I am trying to stamp white and then adhere it to a microscope slide with crystal effects. The problem is that the words I stamped have smeared twice. I thought it was dry, but it wasn't. ARG! If you base your opinion of craft pads on the white, then you are really missing out. White has to be really gooey because it has to cover. The other colors are NOT as gooey as white. It looks cool, but white is a pain.
Hopefully I will have it done soon. I've been trying to heat set it, but I don't want to set the paper on fire either. I'm stamping my saying with little letter stamps and it is a pain to keep restamping this same little image.
Enough moaning. I'll have it done soon. Enjoy the layout.
