Here are the directions:
http://members.tripod.com/cecilia_liu/shirt.htm
I had a little trouble initially with the directions, so I’m going to add some measurements for you. The steps are the same as the link.
PLEASE PRACTICE FIRST WITH PLAIN COPY PAPER!!!! And I'm not sure that you can do this with cardstock...you might need to use thin designer paper, or stamp on the copy paper.
Using a full sheet of paper:
Step 1 and 2: fold as directed.
Step 3: Fold back the top edge by 3/4”.
Step 4: Fold the corners in so that the corners meet at the center fold 3/4” down from the top folded edge.
Step 5: These folds will make the sleeves. Measure up 3 ” from the bottom of the paper in the center (where the edges of the paper meet). From that point, make the triangles folding outward as shown.
Step 6: Fold the bottom edge up and wedge it under the collar flaps before creasing it. The front of the shirt from the top of the shoulders to the bottom is approximately 4 ”
If you want to make a smaller shirt that would fit on a normal sized card, use a piece of designer paper measuring 4” x 5 ”.
Step 1 and 2: fold as directed.
Step 3: Fold back the top edge by ”.
Step 4: Fold the corners in so that the corners meet at the center fold ” down from the top folded edge.
Step 5: These folds will make the sleeves. Measure up 1 ” from the bottom of the paper in the center (where the edges of the paper meet). From that point, make the triangles folding outward as shown.
Step 6: Fold the bottom edge up and wedge it under the collar flaps before creasing it. The front of the shirt from the top of the shoulders to the bottom is approximately 2 ”.
Please use the keyword TLC119 when you upload.
Have fun!

I made over 100 of these as invitations for a party my SIL had last summer. Then I punched 2 gazillion flowers so each shirt would have a lei. Everyone loved them. I swore at the time if I never made another origami shirt, it would be too soon. For the challenge, I might have to give it another shot

Well, that was easier than I thought! I used a half sheet of SU pattern paper so I had to make my card larger than usual. The card ended up being 5 1/2 inches by 7 inches.

Well, I made a shirt out of scrap paper, and Beth, your extra measurements made it easy! I am leaving town in the morning, so I don't think I will get a chance to make a challenge card tomorrow. But it might be fun to make one for my brother-n-law, except he is more of a t-shirt kind of guy! I made a differnet kind of shirt card for my dad a few years ago, so I still need to come up with a fun idea for Father's Day.

Hi! Wow! I don't usually attempt origami... (RA, ya' know...) However, it's early in my day, so I'm feeling pretty limber! LOL!

Oh, Beth -- you're so bad! I was going to skip today's challenge because I have too many other things to do, but looks like I'll have to squeeze it in somehow because these shirts are too darn cute!
