Yesterday I got that glorious email. You know, the one that welcomes you to Stampin Up as a demonstrator with your demo#. So I went online and tracked down my starter kit box. Hurray. It was scheduled to arrive the next day, Friday. So today, after a horrendous day yesterday with a newly turned "terrible 2 year old," 2 older kids who are, okay, they are kids and the DH out of town for the rest of the weekend, I wait, and I wait and I wait. And check and double check the UPS tracking system. It seemed a little off but still, they were promising my box today, the 26th. I checked the calendar a few times too. To make sure today was the 26th.
NO PACKAGE. No Mr. Brown. No truck. No nothing.
Finally, just a few moments ago, the UPS system has updated my delivery date. August 29th. Monday, right? MONDAY. That's 2 more days and 2 more nights and then a few more hours.
I was really getting excited. What a total let down.
I suppose I should go clean out some closets or something b/c when that box is finally gets here...I'm only going to ENJOY it!
Hmmmm. What can I cook on Sunday that will provide left overs for Monday? Probably nothing since DH is bringing his two brothers back from their camping trip. Okay, we are eating cereal for dinner on Monday. Everyone just better love it! Hehe
Okay. Thanks for the listening ears and shoulders to cry on.
You can cry on my shoulder! I totally understand! My dh has had long days all week, and I am going crazy just with that! I also have 3 kids (4, 3, and 5 mos.) and they too can drive me crazy some days!!
I got my demo number yesterday as well. But my kit isn't due in until the 31st. sigh. long wait!!

I knew I could get sympathy and understanding here!
Thanks for the happy thoughts ladies. And my kids are almost 6, almost 5 and just turned 2. I totally undestand husbands that work late. I don't understand bosses that keep them there. But such is life, if my husband wants to keep his job. Or so he says. And #3 child has been a terror this week. I don't know if it being the baby of the family. Just turning 2. Or if he's just trying to make me go crazy.
I've had a really hard week with him. Just the typical little kid things but all at once and a lot of things have been destroyed.
So, I will clean up my stuff and work on the lesson I have to teach in church, haha, and stop fussing about the rescheduled package.

Hey Dawn,
I can only imagine your frustration. Sure hope the box comes as scheduled (this time on MONDAY) and that you relish the moment you hear that big old thud as a 40 pound box from the Brown truck hits your porch! Wishing you lots of luck with your new business!

I don't really stamp much. I'm just here for the company.
HUGS!
I totally understand- sometimes my stuff gets stuck at the borders for DAYS! and UPS won't give us an ETA because they can't when customs is involved. When I ordered new catties this year they sat at the border for 5 days!! It was horrible- the anticipation!
I'm sending you a beautiful sunny weekend with Angel Children to help ease the frustration of having to wait on your kit. I hope all goes well and smoothly- Yay! your goodies come on Monday!
What a bummer! That has happened to me when I was waiting for a big box to arrive! It's dissapointing but Monday will get here I promise! You know, you could make a few extra meals and freeze them so when it does get here you can have more time to play
I know I know! I'm not a demo. lady, but how many times I have dashed to the window all day waiting for the Postman. He comes and the Stamp set I am waiting for never comes.
Cleaning out a space for the new stuff will help. You will be preparing for its arrival then. I just LOVE my stamps and stamp things.
You are so lucky to have 3 kids! I have had 4 and now only have 2 (deaths) and I soooo miss them as children. They are all grown and have familys themselves now.
If its warm where you live, make Hamburgars (barbecue) husbands usually like to take over the grill and you can do all the prep work in advance.
Enjoy Hon!
My box was sitting on my door step when I got home from taking my DD to "meet the teacher" hour at school. But then, motherhood took over, getting the kids out of the car, changing a diaper and putting down to a very late nap my two year old, checking the regular mail, email, voice mail, etc. I did get to look through my new goodies. But in a few minutes, maybe 30, I'm putting that 2 year old to nap. Both my other kids are in school today! And I'm going to start playing.
Hope your boxes arrived safe and sound yesterday! Mine are supposed to be delivered today and I check the tracking software this morning just to be sure.....I'm leaving work early to go "play" with the new stuff!

I did get to play with my stamps today. I actually served dinner on Sunday in the dining room. So all my stamping stuff was put away. It was so nice to have a clean area to make messy/cluttered again!
Hope basurok's boxes came. And Breezy929, I really hope they get your paperwork tomorrow!!
