I love coloring with my Copics but I'm getting tired of just the stamps I have so I thought about some of the larger free coloring pages out there. Hmm, those would be fun to color & use as backgrounds for scrapbook pages. But my printer ink smears with the copics no matter what paper or how long I let it dry.
Any suggestions?

I used GP paper in my Epson Stylus printer & (my one & only) Copic & Spicas & did not have any problems...
HERE is the card that I did (the pink is the Copic & the green is the Spica)
I have the GP paper and an Epson Stylus Photo R800 printer -- I'll try that combo and see if it works. Did you have to let it sit for a day or anything?

Before I got my new Epson printer (that won't smear) I would put images on one of those stick things that goes in the side of my laptop (or a floppy would work) and took it to an office supply store and had them print off on their laser printer. Really cheap way to get lots of images. Office Max is where I like to go. But I know Kinkos and Office Depot will also do it for you.
You would also want to take your own paper that you like to work with.
Where are y'all finding the images to color? Monika, I love that cat! Where did you find her?
I wanted to know that too. So I looked again at her card and checked to see if she listed it in the recipe, she mentioned Pink Petticoat Images so I did a search and found the company,
however, their site is down for maintenance and from what I can tell, I think the company sells a CD with the images on it or you can buy the image and they will email it to you?? Not 100% sure.
Each inkjet printer has a different type of ink. The older inkjets would smear if you even sneezed on them (anything wet). Some of the newer models use pigment inks that are archival, etc. These work better with copics, but it will always come down to testing your printout before you try coloring. I have a new Hewlett Packard printer and it's inks won't bleed. My mom's inkjet does.
Laser prints or photocopies will not, ever bleed with Copic markers. So if your printer at home bleeds, take the printout to your closest photocopier and make a copy, or take it to a laser printer.

Sorry, I did not see this until now~ No, I did not let the paper set ~ I'm not real good on the patience thing ~ so I just grabbed it out of the printer & tore into my markers ~ I also used non-Copics & had no problems either... Hope that helps ~ oh & I have the CX4800 (it's an all-in-one printer)
And, yes, the cat images are from Pink Petticoat ~ I'm crazy about their images & have even begged for some snails & puppies (hope they come out with some soon) ~ I have a MacBook & I have no problem with the images. I think I paid about $4.50ish for the Cats (a set of 8 with or without sentiments) ~ which for purrfectly stamped images every time ~IMO ain't too bad! I read somewhere that they don't ship the CD's to the US anymore, but I figure after you download them to your computer you can just as easily burn them to a disk anyway...
