It is cute, but i think $16 is way too high. If that card is going for $16, we have some ladies here who could be making 3 times more than that they are so talented (:

Very pretty cards (I went ahead and looked at her other's), but I couldn't pay that much for one. They are worth a LOT though, with the time and the embellishment's she put's into them.
I love the shiny paper she use's behind some of the image's. I wonder what kind it is. I think it's a little "tacky" to write her and say, "love your cards, just can't afford them, but could you tell me what kind of paper that is" lol!!
Some people just have the talent to do these.

But wait there is more.... check these out - gorgeous
I was lead the cards made by snap_scrap_stamp. What she does is so awesome.
When I was an "artist want a be" this is what I envisioned, and does it so graciously and she shares!
Be sure to check out her blog, SCS galley and her tutorials.

You have some serious fans buying your cards. Well done!! To think if one of my cards went for $16 I definately would feel complimented. I only happened to notice on Ebay where the card is coming from, I live there too. Its such small world.

Hi Beth!
We just moved here in November . I just recently found The Stampin' Post in Old Town Temecula and now it's my FAVORITE place to visit (shop???). MY hubby was actually pointing things out for me! He's so supportive fo my addiction!

I admire anyone and everyone who creates. I don't feel it neccessary to give negative comments on the creations of others. Everyone should be proud of what they make. I thought this would be a place where creativity would be encouraged rather than attacked. I guess I need to develope a tougher skin for this site???

I recently saw a card (created by someone who is a memeber here) who sold a card for over $80. She does beautiful work!

Lorelie, don't let the negative comments get to you!! The cool thing is, people want your cards enough to pay at least (bidding's not over) $16 for this one!!
Also remember that most people who hang out here are card-makers, so when some say they would never pay $$ for cards, it is usually 'cause they have stuff with which to make their own cards. I myself would rarely buy any cards, but I love looking at them anyway, on here, on Ebay, or at Etsy.
Your cards are lovely, and I like the "busy" look - the busier it is, the more I like it!

Don't take it to heart, there are always haters on any site, and on one where everyone feels that their artwork is just as good or better.....well.......Personally I think they're beautiful and would love it if mine sold for a fraction.

Ignore the negative. I think your card is beautiful. You have an amazing talent. I wouldn't know how to work with the different elements you use without making a mess. You make it all balanced and stunning.

I agree with you...that comment was just mean!
Your cards are obviously "from the heart" and very nice.
Kudos to you for making such nice cards and making some money too!

I don't know why but your comment made me laugh, so me as well! I struggle with my cards!
Love being able to see beautiful talented stampers' work whether its on here, on ebay, or on a blog. Eye candy, you can't beat it! And it doesn't affect my hips!

Hello and welcome, Lorelie -- SCS is typically a freindly, helpful place. For every negative comment, you'll find hundreds of positives, so I hope you'll decide to stick around.
A question... You add many layers of details on your cards. Would you care to share how much time on average it takes you to create a card?

I've never really timed myself - it feels like it takes me about 30-45 minutes? I stop a lot - in between housework and kids :-D so maybe 1 hour? The mess in my craft room probably makes it 2 hours? LOL I'm starting to have a hard time finding everything in there!

Super fab card. I think it's well worth it to anyone who doesn't have the time, tools, paper and/or (dare I say) talent to make this. Glad to see you're putting your stuff out there and getting paid well for it!

The meanies are just jealous of your talent and apparent fan base who will pay that much for a card. Good for you! You're work is beautiful. Don't let the negative-nellies scare you away. Most of us are pretty positive!! Welcome to SCS!!

I love your cards, Lorelie! You are truly an inspiration to those of us who create cards every day and can't imagine anyone would want to actually pay real money for them! Welcome to SCS and WAY TO GO!

I am one of your "groupies!" I look at your cards on ebay nearly every day ~ they are beautiful. I look at yours and another ladies cards.. I love to see what wonderful creations others are making. I think it's wonderful that there are others that appreciate your hard work and talent. I think that each card is a work of art and you can't really "set" a price on it ~ kudos to you!! glad that you posted too.

Good for you! I might not be the market for $16 cards, but I'm glad there IS a market for them! Your card is awesome and full of details that are charming.
I LOVE when I see people sell things that are stuff I might could do for lots of money on e bay. Makes me think what I do is worth more! haha.
More power to you hun! and whoever sold a card for $80 more power to you too!

Hey, anyone able to get $16 for a card, I say "You, go, girl". I wish mine were worth that much. Now that I'm retiring from teaching I wish I could just make and sell cards the rest of my days. I'm not to up on the ebay selling method or I'd probably give that a try. I think it's great that good talent is matching it's worth! Keep it up, I say!!!

I will always be amazed by those who have no manners at all!! I can not imagine myself giving negative feedback to someone I barely know. And worse yet, to someone who has talent!!! Ignore bad behavior. Not all who frequent this site have good manners and class. I personally like the card and keep up the great work. Don't let them get to you. Those who wish to be rude should be given no attention. Their input has no value. Again great job!

WOWZERS! That is incredible!!! Honestly, doing cards like yours would take me like ALLLLL day. They are very beautiful! I think it is sooooooo awesome that you are able to sell them for so much! I'm figuring that must make it easier to spend money on more "stuff"! So glad this thread was started so I can keep watching for your work! Thanks soooo much for sharing!

I think the negativity comes out of pure envy of your talent. Your cards are works of art. I'm glad someone out there is getting appreciated for the talent, time and effort it takes to create. I can only dream of being that talented... Keep up the beautiful work!

No, not too sensitive at all! I would have been very offended as well! Like some of the others said above, I am happy that you can make money with your talent and love of creating! Keep up the good work! Oh, and it's not you that's setting the price - the bidders are offering what they feel it is worth!
