Default An order, the post office, a Vent

Last Thursday night I placed an order with MFT. Friday morning I noticed on my conformation I neglected to change the state on the ship to. I emailed MFT in a panic and in seconds Kim emailed me back the address would be taken care of (yeah! Shes great). I paid with pay pal which supplies a tracking service. I could track the package leaving FL moving up the coast to New Jersey, passing Monmouth County (thats where I live) and arriving in Kearny, NJ!?!?!?! Currently on the Track & Confirm it is listed as Missent Your item was misrouted.
Is this why postage went up so our packages could be sent on joy rides around the country? Here I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of Friends Furever to make a card of my neighbors that just brought home an eight week old mastiff puppy and the post office is sending my package on a joy ride, a senic tour of Jerseys finest!!!! At my expense in more ways than one!! Kearny is only about an hour away so I am hoping it only takes the post office a day to get it back where it belongs. Wish my package luck and thanks for listening to me rant. ($.42 for a letter grumble, grumble, grumble)

I hear you girl. This happens to us in Canada all the time. I have even had packages come up from the states into Canada then go back down, how stupid is that. Costing us all....
Hope you get your package soon.
Hugs
Kathy

Good luck with getting your package. Unfortunately it's not just the PO. DH used to work in Moorestown. He would give directions to his office to delivery guys (spelling the town name). Then later he would get a call from the guy saying, " I'm in Morristown and can't find your address."

Talk about a misroute...last year my mom sent my sister a package, from Sacramento, California to Calgary, Canada. It was a birthday present, and she sent it two weeks before my sister's birthday.
We flew up to Canada two days before my sister's birthday, and she hadn't received the package. My mom was just a tiny bit concerned. Two days AFTER my sister's birthday, she still hadn't received the package. A WEEK after my sister's birthday she got the package, in a plastic bag, with a huge label on front saying it had been misrouted to...

IRAN!

Calgary...Alberta...Canada... what about that resembles IRAN in any way???

Crazy

Digiden: Maybe the military thought the package was a "deserter" making a break for the border? Glad its tour of duty was short.

Yeah, and then it goes to the mailman who inevitably puts it in the wrong box. Unless, of course, it's a bill or credit card solicitation.

LOL - I have noticed with FedEx tracking that parcels go past me to get to the Local/Regional distribution place on more than one occasion... as desperate as I am for my goodies I don't fancy the idea of going through a Trailer unit to find them!

It made it! my package made it. It was a little tired, a little thirsty but it got here. Not really how many additional states it traveled through but I have it here safe and sound.

I know how that is. Stuff that gets shipped to my house from TX gets sent to Minneapolis (north of my house) and then sent to Faribault (south of my house) before it's put on the truck for delivery.

Glad you got your package Beth!

I had one package come from the US, and enter Windsor, back to michigan, back to windsor, then to OHIO, then FINALLY to my house (1/2 hr outside Windsor). I can't believe that something that came FedEx took longer than a first class envelope purchased 2 days later.
