You can buy them from www.papertreyink.com or you can go to www.ucutathome.com and sign up for VIP coupons, then you get a 40% off coupon every month. Great deal. I just got the entire rectangle set - and love them!

Or you can buy them at Ellen Hutson's http://www.ellenhutson.com/servlet/t...ies/Categories . She has great service and I believe she was involved in the development of them.

I have seen lots of tutorials and all are a little different but this is the best I have found. Try it..Thanks to Katestamps716...Originally Posted by katestamps716
My downline (cmustopa) came up with these sandwiches which I find work MUCH better than the other ones posted AND you can see the image you're cutting out.

CUTTING (from the bottom up):
A Plate
B Cutting Plate
Paper/Cardstock (stamped) face UP
Cutting Die, face DOWN
C Plate
The advantages of this are that a) you can see exactly where you are cutting around your image, and b) the C plate is sturdier than the B plate and can withstand more direct pressure from the Cuttlebug as it goes through. I have also found less embedding of the die in the plate this way, even though the conventional instructions for die cutting with the Cuttlebug say to do it face up.

EMBOSSING (from the bottom up):
A Plate
B Plate (can be the same one you cut with)
Die with cut piece still inside (flipped over so you can’t see the image)
Tan rubber mat
2 layers of HEAVY cardstock (I use a folded A-2 card made with 130# cover stock)
B Plate
Other instructions tell you to put the cardstock shim directly on top of the die, and then the rubber mat. I find I get a better impression this way. You may want to experiment with the cardstock shim layers, using 3 layers of 90# cardstock if you don’t have 130#. However, I have not cracked one B plate since I started doing it this way.
Another advantage of doing it this way is that when you’re switching back and forth between cutting and embossing, you only have to change the top plate.

I just got my classic rectangle set a half an hour ago and tried them

You can also buy the Nestabilities directly from Spellbinders.

http://www.spellbinders.us/ct/store/...p?idAffiliate=

There is a wonderful video on the Spellbinders site that shows several demonstrations using the Spellbinders dies and the Wizard. HTH! ;)

Here is another link to check out, it's Stacey Caron at CHA showing Creative Keepsakes how to use the Wizard and Spellbinders dies.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsrAGSDq2As

I recommend the Spellbinders Tan Embossing Mat, I'm still using the mat I've had for 3 years, they are specifically made to get the best use out of your dies.

Hello nascar001,

You can certanily use your cuttlebug with ALL of the Spellbinders Dies..... including Nestabilities ......here is the sandwich that works the best....

TO CUT:
Place the A Plate down First
Place the C Plate on the A Plate
Place the Spellbinders Die (face up or ridges up) on the C Plate
Place the Cardstock on top of the die
Place B Plate on top of CS and run thru the bug

TO EMBOSS:
Remove the B Plate
Place your finger on the die to hold it down and slip out the C Plate (DO not flip your die over... leave it face up)
Place Spellbinders Tan Embossing mat on top of the die
Place 3 pieces of Cardstock on top of die to shim for added pressure
Place 2 B Plates (stacked together) on top of CS and run thru the bug.

NOTE: if you use a Spellbinders Nestability to make a card OR a Spellbinders Edgeability Card making Die only SHIM with 2 pieces of SC on the embossing step. This will help you to avoid over shimming and B plate breakage.

This is the sandwich combination I demonstrate all of the US at consumer shows..... it works every time and I never break my B Plates. I just finished a DVD showing this and it will be available soon. hope this helps...

Hugs
& Smiles

I have a sizzix machine. Plus the converter. Is that all I need. I watched the video and I think that that should be it.
Does the Nestabilities come with the plates and such?

Once again, thanks everyone for the great help.

Here is how to get you old sizzix to work with Spellbinders dies.... including Spellbinders nestabilities.....
TO CUT:
Put your magnetic converter on the sizzix machine
place your white sizzix mat down in the track
place your paper down on the white sizzix mat
Place your SPELLBINDERS DIE FACE DOWN ( the side of the die with the ridges or blade) on the cardstock
Place the Spellbinders Spacer Plate on TOP of the Die
Place three pieces of cardstock on top of the spacer plate
Scoot along to cut...
TO EMBOSS:
Remove the three pieces of cardstock
Remove the Spellbinders Spacer Plate
TURN THE DIE OVER LEAVING THE CARDSTOCK IN THE DIE
Place the TAN SPELLBINDERS EMBOSSING MAT on top of the die
Place the three pieces of cardstock on top of the TAN SPELLBINDERS MAT
Scoot along to emboss.
This sandwich works like a charm ..... how do I know this..... I am Stacey and I own Spellbinders and I demonstrate this sandwich at consumer shows all of the US. I also wrote the sandwiches. I just finished a DVD which will be available soon for all to view and follow along.
FYI for all...... Plummers gasket is NOT the same as a Spellbinders tan Embossing mat..... you will indeed get a different embossing result with the gasket. The density of Spellbinders tan mats are different then Plummers gasket.

Hope this helps.....
Hugs & Smiles
