Soooo..my kitty always has to be with my when I'm stampin' - of course
I've recently seen him picking at numerous things...ribbon (LOVES to swat at it and chew on it)....but more recently he has been all about my bone folder. So I picked it up and started rubbing him with it....he goes nuts!! Starts to push his face into it, wants me to rub him with it even more. So I start rubbing him with it, fur going everywhere, he is purring like crazy. Fur ALL over the darn bone folder. TOO FUNNY! Anyway here are some pics.
What else does your cat do while you stamp? Any other tools that he gets into of yours? hehe
Yep, cats think they need to be right where the action is, LOL!
My Mr. Charlie loves to rub his chin on my 12x12 paper holders. They're on the floor under the table, and some of the CS edges get a little bent--and a little furry?!
My cat loves to steal my sponges. I finally got him his own personal sponge to play with anytime he wants. But if I'm not paying attention, he'll still go for mine!
thanks for sharing! that is so cute!!! my cats like to knock down my ink spots and kick them around. I have found several of spots under my sofa everytime I clean house. lol...;)
LOL!! I love all the kitty stories!! And that kitty smiley was just great GarnetJ!
Max also like to knock down my "tower o'ribbon"...I will stack spools of ribbon on top of each other to somewhat organize...but yea, he just goes after those suckers and knocks them all down. too funny I tell ya.
I love how cats are so interested in papercrafting - mine like to walk over the desk and are always grabbing the length of paper hanging from the tape runner when I work. Very cute photos - and handsome kitty, that Max.

OhMyGosh, stamp1... my cat is constantly stealing my sponges!! Actually, she's a cat burglar and steals my eraser, pens, tweezers, mascara & glue stick too, but my craft table is her favorite place to *loot* and the sponges are her favorite! lol
Mine loves paper scraps - especially the really narrow ones that come from cutting with deco scissors. She also snatches the sponges and I find them under the couch later. Oh and just today she started trying to get the watercolor pencils out of their tin box. It was like a big puzzle to her trying to scoop them out with her paw. She's great company.

LOL!!! I'm laughing at her trying to scoop with her paws. My hubby and I always laugh and say "if only he had opposable thumbs...." - just think of all the things he could do with THUMBS!!! hahaha.
I just love kitties. They have so much personality. I have to really watch mine though because she tries to eat plastic which is a real no-no. As soon as I come home from a store I have to remove all plastic bags immediately. I always take my own canvas shopping bags when I go out so that I don't bring home any plastic grocery bags.

I love these stories!! My Aurora just always has to be with me. Sometimes (rarely) she'll sit in my lap and be good. But more often than not she has to be as close to my hands as she can get. Sometimes she wants to be rubbed, but usually she just HAS to see what I'm doing - close up. She's sooo silly!!!
It's so funny I found this thread this morning. I've recently discovered that our kitty (Rockstar) has a fetish for stipple brushes! I couldn't figure out why they would go missing, but my boys tend to borrow stuff from my studio, too. They assured me they were not taking them! Lo and behold, we moved the couch to vacuum yesterday and there were three of my brushes!
He is my quality control inspector, too. When I'm finished with a card, I always put the latest on my photo desk and he likes to jump up there and sniff at it! That's why I stick by the adage that cat hair IS an embellishment!
Very cute!!! My cat loves to lick shiny things (glossy card stock, photographs, etc) and envelope glue. I always hope I catch the ones she licks--don't want to be second in line!
Be careful! My kitty died after eating some freshly died ribbon I had hung to dry. I didn't think she could reach it....

oh wow!! that is so sad!! Thanks for the info. Luckily Max just likes to paw at it and chew the ends of it, - he's never actually broken the ribbon off to eat it. I'm sorry that you lost your kitty :(
Cute pics!
I got my bone folder for Christmas a couple of years ago. It had been on my "wish list", but I hadn't realized for sure that it had been bought. We got to my in-law's place, and within five minutes of our arrival, our dog is going crazy under the tree. She never pays any attention to presents, mostly because we keep any food related ones elsewhere. We couldn't for the life of us understand why. Later, on Christmas morning, I opened the package. It was the bone folder. I have to be super careful not to leave it too close to my table edge because our dog is part wolfhound and very tall!
My guys don't ever mess with my stampin stuff. They do like to sleep under my stamp table though. Every now and then they will come out to see what the ladies are doing when I have a stamp night. Once, before I even knew what stamping was my older cat ran down the hall with something green hanging out his butt. It was a three foot piece of green satin ribbon. I still have no idea how he got it off the spool, or out of the drawer. I love the pictures of your kitty, he looks a lot like my Figaro cat.
My baby-kitty wants my stamping chair. When I stand up to get something, I have to make sure the coast is clear when I go to sit down - she's been sat on a time or two but still wouldn't move! I'll often find the chair covered with fur because Sadie has been sleeping on it when I'm not stamping. Fortunately, she'll leave everything else alone - just wants my chair!

Beautiful cat. I wonder if your black cat and my white cat got together if we would get neutral colored hair all over the place that no one would notice?

haha!! that would be great wouldn't it!!
this time of year I find he is shedding his winter coat, fur everywhere!! no wonder he loves that bone folder...wants me to scrape all that "excess fur" off him.
Yep, still miss her lots. She chewed off a big chunk, apparently...

Thats so sad. that can happen with anything around the house, though. My cat ate a mop string (from one of those stringy mops). Fortunately, we were able to remove it without damage, we were very lucky. (no more stringy mops, either!)
I like the company of my cats in my craft room, but I am very careful with what they play with, especially ribbon. All my ribbon is in a closed box. Only "supervised play" with ribbon and other potentially dangerous elements.
Watch your kitties with buttons, sequins, beads and other things they can easily swallow. (just like children).
I also watch with Prisma pencils b/c some of the pigments are toxic/heavy metals. Don't need them chewing on those, either. Prisma pencils and Gamsol are completely off limits. No cats in the craft room when those are in use.
A good reminder to have fun with out kitties but to also be careful.
I'm sorry for your loss. As a totally obsessed cat person, I cannot imagine the heartbreak. I'm so, so sorry.
You have a beautiful cat. But I have yet to meet a cat i didn't like, even cantankerous ones.
I didn't mean to be a downer in my last post.
A lot of us have fun with our cats in our craft room and have no issues.
Mine like paper scraps especially. The more folded and jagged and irregular the shape (especially if it has lots of corners for wiggling between your teeth!!) the better!!
My cat is also black with a little white under his chin, belly and the tip of his tail!
He doesn't bother with my stuff too much, just to sniff and see it. When he does seem to come around being curious, I usually take a spare piece of paper and crinkle it all around and throw it on the floor for him. He can push something around the house for hours. I end up finding random things we gave him all gathered under the bed in the same spot. He really loves pens/pencils too.
Cute video! I don't have a bone folder. Might have to pick one up for the cats! Black and white cats sure seem to be popular here. I have 2. Domino, my male, looks a lot like your Max, except he has some white on his nose and only one eye. Ella, his sister, is about half and half, kind of like a pinto pony.
I just love your cat. He looks exactly like our cat, Shadow, who we had to put to sleep last fall. He was 13 years old. I really miss him that's why I have the sign in name of Shadowkat!
My cat loves to steal my sponges. I finally got him his own personal sponge to play with anytime he wants. But if I'm not paying attention, he'll still go for mine!
My cats steal my sponges too!! I don't know why they find them so appealing. The bad thing is, they steal them from my craft room, and then the dog finishes the job of ripping them up.
