Default Use wheels any more?

I don't know the last time I used one of my wheels. Do you still get yours out and use?

You know it is funny that you posted this question because just the other I was thinking the same thing. I rarely ever take them out anymore. I was thinking it might be time to sell them. Maybe if I keep them I might unmount them to make them more versatile.

I use mine all of the time, but it's not always been this way. I was very discouraged with them and then I met the wheel guide and my wheels and I have had a great relationship ever since!! I hated the fact that I could never get the line perfectly straight, so the guide takes care of that little problem!

I was asking myself this very same question about why I don't use my wheels more often. I have 92 wheels and I hardly ever use them, which prompted me to create a 'Wheely' fun card swap. The card swap link is in my siggy line if anyone wants to check it out. I also have pictures of the cards I have received so far in my gallery if anyone wants to look at them. As I receive more cards I will post them.

I haven't used mine in a while, but with the new SU! promo I decided to give them a go. I bought the wheel guide and now I'm so excited about using them again. I'm going to use the Daisy Dash wheel and Enjoy Every Moment in my scrapbook class this month.

I sold mine on ebay for a big loss after they went untouched for a year. I wasn't even mad about the loss, it's less to store!

Default using Wheels

I rarely used my wheels, even with the guide I had problems. Then I got the StampPress and OMG....... I use my wheels ALL the time and literally can do strips of images in minutes. I still use the handles if I need to have the image in the middle of a 12x12 but generally I use the strips. Hope I'm making sense...

Anyway.... I have used my wheels more in the last 2 month.

I hadn't used them in the longest time until about 6 months ago. I caved and purchased the jumbo handle and really like the jumbo wheels. I also find I use my standard size wheels more at christmas since I love the snowmen and retired snow globes

I rarely use wheels. I've been known to buy them just because they go with a set and while I may use the set a lot, the wheel just doesn't do it for me. I've been a wheel person, just don't like knowing there is one that I like that matches a set and not have it.

I like my wheels.

I just saw a wheel at the store that is designed to put acrylic stamps on-
so you can wheel them! That would be cool for backgrounds and stuff...
you could pick your stamps to wheel!

Please, what is a StampPress.

I haven't used my wheels in a bit, or my background stamps either. Isn't it funny how you get into these cycles where you use these things on everything, then suddenly they disappear into the stamping black hole never to be seen again.

I don't have that many and I don't use them that much. I also have a Stampress and it was one of the biggest waste of $$. I'm going to sell it one of these days.

I really like the idea of unmounting them. I bought them because they were less expensive than the stamp set for the image that I wanted.

I was coming on to post this question!

I just got a catalog and noticed that the wheels aren't used a lot in there. I have been thinking of jumping on a the free wheels. That way I can see if I use them and it isn't like it cost me anything.

I never touched my wheels until I unmounted them. I could never get the lines straight and I didn't have a lot of ink cartridges. Now that they are unmounted I use them all the time - with any colour of ink I want.

Another vote for unmounted wheels! They are so much easier to use and take up much less space!

...and yet another vote for going unmounted on the wheels. I love that I can just whip 'em out, ink 'em up and press and go. No more crooken lines...I gave all my handles and inks to my stampin' friend...it was a win, win for both of us.

When you unmount your wheels what do you mount the rubber on to stamp? I'm thinking I might use my wheels more if they were unmounted.

I used a craft knife and cut the wheel at the seam and it peeled right off. Then I mounted it onto EZ Mount...when I want to use them, I just stick them on a clear acrylic block and away I go.

I use mine all of the time. I use some more than others. I wonder why in the world I bought the lily one. I have only used it once. It seemed like a good idea at the time.
How hard is it to unmount the wheels? I am scared that I would not be able to use it after I took it off of the wheel.

I still use them and in fact, just ordered a new one on Tuesday.

The last one I used was the jumbo "So Swirly." I used it on Valentine's cards.

I use them a lot. The only thing is that I don't have so much cartridges.
I also unmounted a couple and use them with any ink I want.

Here is some info about the StamPress. http://www.suzyscraps.com/product_de...duct_id=460882 I have it on clearance for $19.99 at the store I manage, and put all my wheels and cartridges on clearance several weeks ago. People just aren't into them around here anymore. The StamPress is nice I guess, if you're using the wheels alot and have trouble getting a straight line, but it seems like a waste to me.

You don't need a lot of ink cartridges. I often mount my wheel on the handle, then ink it up on whatever ink pad I need.

The ink cartridges are great for scrapbooking. You get a consistent image across the whole page.
