I have no doubt that this question has been asked before, but I can't seem to find it in a search. What is the best white cardstock to get the clearest stamped image? I'm sure there are many opinions on this, but I'd like a couple of recommendations. I've been using "run of the mill" cardstock and my images seem to bleed and get fuzzy. It also pills up when I color in with a marker or watercolor. I've also learned that textured cardstock doesn't work either. I'm new to this hobby, so I haven't had much experience with different brands of paper.
I'm using Georgia Pacific that I pick up for under $6 at Wally's world. I have to say I stamp but I'm not perfect and I have a problem using more expensive paper just in case I mess it up!
I say this alot (and I'm not a demo) but Stampin Ups Whisper White is far superior to Georgia Pacific. The images come out cleaner, the ink colors stay true and the paper will hold up to aqua painting and blender pens. It also folds crisp and nice and has a good feel to the hand.
I've heard that Papertrey Ink's paper is awesome but I haven't tried it yet.
Try a pack of SU's and you will see the difference.
I second the Papertrey card stock for no layer cards. The weight and "stampability" are fabulous. But I use SU WW for card layers - I just don't like the weight for a card base. And for cards that I want a white base with lots of layers - GP. Of course I have to use my OTT light to tell the difference sometimes!
I just bought a few sheets of Hammermill 80lb at my local paper store. It has a very smooth finish. I've started using the Gamsol technique and this paper works much better that what I was using - which was recycled from section dividers in obsolete manuals from work. I still use the recycled stuff for the card skeletons, but now I only stamp on the good stuff.

I go with Prism's simply smooth white....I stamp a lot of detailed images....ie Kinkade, Friendly Kritters and there is nothing quite like it! I find papertrey's cs a little too absorbant so my lines bleed slightly....just my own experience when I compare them side by side.
