Welcome Susan! I'm Amy and I'm so thankful for this site as well. You are so right, you learn so much from spending time here (but you also end up spending lots of money). This site encourages me to try new things and I get so excited when I figure out that I can actually do some of these cool techniques. We're so glad to have you with us and look forward to seeing some of your creations!
yup this site is awesome and totally addicting. Time as you knew it is now gone out the window, because you won't know what time it is once you start on here. Hope you have as good as a time on the site as I have had the last few months. I was one of those lurkers but was lurking for a lot longer than most do, guess a bit shy... hahahahaha Oh well... take a look around you will love what you see, and Welcome!!
You will enjoy SplitCoast so much that your family will be eating cereal all the time and you won't be able to get off your computer. I'm just telling you how it is! Oh, and there is a big surprise in the works for SplitCoast. It's all top secret but we think we can break Jenn and Beate down.
Welcome from me too. As you can see we are a bit like a chatty family. I love it here. But we are not chatty enough to not be able to keep a secret. Lana....please understand. We have to...or we go to SCS exile. I couldn't live like that! I NEED you all.
Welcome! And as I caution ALL the newbies..... this site is VERY addicting! I just love it here and the women (and gentleman) on this site are amazing and so supportive!
Welcome Susan!! I can hardly wait to see your work when you figure out how to upload. It will become your daily highlight. Then you'll be checking for all of the supportive comments and then you'll go stamp some more and upload more and more comments and more inspiration...oh MY!! It never ends and you'll believe you've died and gone to SCS heaven.
Like Kar mentioned, I guess I am a bit shy, so it took me a while to actually join the board. I'm glad to be here now, and hope I can still manage to put together a reasonable meal for the family (thanks for the warning, Lana).
I should have mentioned in my original post that I live in Minnesota now, but grew up in Texas, and will always be a Texan at heart. How does it go? You can take a girl out of Texas, but you can't take Texas out of the girl! Something like that.
Good night, y'all!
Susan
What part of Texas are you from? MN is a long way from TX!
I have put my Southern Living Easy Weeknight Meals cookbook to good use lately! Dinner in less than an hour. I have noticed that food on the table makes for better uninterrupted browse time. Lana, the family revollted at the cereal idea. I had to actually find the kitchen again or risk the possiblity of a full scale revolution!
I am a newbie from Texas too! I am totally addicted to this site too and love all the great ideas from everybody!! I am checking the site constantly so I get nothing done...
By the way, my kids are starting to complain about all the sandwiches they have been having to eat lately!!
Thank goodness it's summer! (And that's saying a lot because it is HOT in Texas!!)

What a great family of stampers you've discovered! I just joined a couple weeks ago right after signing up with SU as a demo and think this place is TERRIFIC!
I've gleaned SO much from all the talent that posts on all the forums and galleries!
Have fun stamping!
(Cindy leans over to share some of her Godiva ice cream with you...)

I grew up in Arlington, went to college in San Antonio, and ended up in Minnesota for graduate school. We liked it so much (and my husband found a job here) that we stayed. It is a really nice place to raise children. The winters can get long, but at least we have seasons. Although, it has been unseasonably cool lately, along with a bumper crop of mosquitoes following all of our rain!
Thanks for the welcome greetings,
Susan
Well, I'm from the Twin Cities, too. And, I used to live in Texas!! But, only for 7 years or so. I graduated from UNT with a degree in Accounting and went to work for ARCO in Dallas. We moved back to MN in '92 and I still miss Texas. I still have lots of great friends that I keep in touch with from the Allen/Plano/Frisco area. You just can't beat golfing in February! But, then, the long cold winters here in MN make for more stampin' time!!
Welcome to SCS - and don't wait as long as I did before sharing your work. Everyone here is sooo supportive and Daven was a lifesaver when I went through the learning curve of uploading photos.
