Does anyone have one of these Roll-A-Bind systems? I just posted this same question under the Greeting Card Organizer thread then realized I may get a better response if I start a separate post. Anyway....does anyone have one they can recommend? Is this something you can buy in a store or do you have to order it online? Would Michaels carry these?
Julia,
they carry them at Stamp Antonio. A bit pricey compared to online. Lana sent me this link. . . I think that was the best price at the time> http://216.71.49.129/Vndrs/Rbd/Rbd_G1
You can also get them at Marco's Paper. I stopped by there yesterday and saw it. Here is a link right to the system : http://www.marcopaper.com/rollabind.htm
I bought the personal hand punch... I made a little SU inventory book and laminated the front and back covers. Wish I had more time to use it. Have any good ideas???

Notebboks, mini scrapbooks (or fullsize ones!) recipe books, calendars, my day planner (decorated to the hilt, of course)
Now this is really cool. How flexible is the system? Do you have to use their special paper or stuff? I'm thinking about little folders. pounces. inside my day timer

I'd stay away from the personal one; it's not die cast metal ...
I got the desktop one, it's die-cast metal and can withstand thicker materials. I didn't want the kit, as I wanted specific disc sizes and lots in those 2 sizes I knew I'd use, so I purchased the discs and the Rollabind punch each separately.
At one time (nearly year ago), www.wilde-ideas.com had GREAT sale on the DISCS themselves (not the punch), and that's where I got just the discs from. However, I'd recommend a google on 'em to see if you can find any deals on them now?

I love the Rollabind system and I agree, get the metal punch if you want to go through thicker material. This thing is so versatile that all the managers in my husbands company bought the system through Levengers, and they've all made their own notebooks for taking notes in, not that we stampers would buy it through them.
I will say also that if you happen to have an Archiver's near you, they carry these and you wouldn't have to pay shipping BUT they don't carry the all-metal punch.
I love the Rollabind!!! I bought this last year to make mini albums for Christmas presents and everone loved them. I've also made note pads with it. This was one tool that I actually use... often! Get it, you'll be glad you did.
Hi. Good luck on your decision. As you can see we all vary on which one to buy. I bought the personal hand punch because I only want mine for occasional use and it is cheaper. You may have to do less pages each time but you can position your paper or card stock whereever you want to on the bar. I did not buy the kit either so I could choose the colors, etc. of the discs that I wanted. Have fun!!
