Default cello toppers

I like to have 2 in. at the top of my bag, but of course, that also depends on the bag size. I like to just punch holes and run ribbon, jute or hemp through and tie. (Eyelets look nice, but you have to tear the bag apart to get into it. :( )

I have taken a piece of cardstock and folded it over the top - I usually add some mono to both sides so it sticks to the cello and then use brads on each side to hold it together. This is one I did using a plastic lunch bag rather than cello

For the survival kit swap, on one set I used scrapbook nails. They are 2-part little plastic snaps that you just snap together through a punched hole. That are sheer plastic, but colored (or clear) so they aren't obtrusive and they can be unsnapped to open the bag, and replaced to close it. On the other, I used the punched holes and tied organdy ribbon into big bows.

If I'm layering the topper, I use staples under the top layer.

I attache my cello bag toppers with the gold brads you get at the office supply store. Office Max carries the short ones. I think they are #1 size. They look really nice that way. I demo those at every workshop with goodies in it for the hostess. EVERY TIME, I get comments on them.
