Default Need some generic invitations ideas

I'm part of a group of ladies at church who meet once a month to talk and do various things. At the end of March I've been asked to set up a cardmaking workshop (very small) to make simple invites for the church to send out to new people in town, for various events, whatever.

So these invites need to be pretty generic on the front, and we'll just provide the info as we need it on the inside.

Any suggestions? Examples? I'm browsing the gallery now.... I mostly have SU sets, but not many religious type ones. I'm thinking more like flowery types, maybe? Should I put any words or quotes on the front, or just have an image?

I have to say that my first thought was to have a stamp made up from a picture of the outside of your church. Right away people will identify where the invitation is from and it can be as simple (black stamped on white card) or complex as you (your group) want to make it.
