I loved watching TV shows when I was a little girl. I cant remember them
all but one of my favorite is the Brady Bunch. I have no idea why that
show was my favorite, maybe because no matter what happened, at the end of the show, they are once again one happy family.
Now I have a family of my own, not as big of a family, but its mine. Like all families wed have good and bad events happening like building our first home together, trying to suck a bead out a 3-year-olds nose, and birthday celebrations. So for the next two hours, Id like you to think about your family and also the well known Brady Bunch intro screen. My thoughts brought me to this layout. It doesn't look Brady-ish if you just look at it but if you pay attention, the central area is actually divided into nine sections
just like the intro.
So here is my sketch (one of the image has the dividers/guides on it) and sample. Be creative while staying within the nine squares. My page is a digital scrapbook page that I created using Adobe Photoshop CS3 but you can use any media, paper, digital, or hybrid, a combination of the two to complete this challenge.
For non-digital scrapbookers, do you know that if you have a color
printer, you can print any digital paper or element and use it just like
your other paper material? If you haven't tried it, you should. It's quite
fun. On my blog: http://www.scrapbit.com/useful-links/ I have some links for digital freebies. Download a few (once you download you need to unzip/extract the folder) and incorporate them into your page -- bonus points for you if you do.
For those who wants to create in digital, try creating your own textured
alpha. You can find a Photoshop tutorial here: http://www.scrapbit.com/2008/01/23/a...elementsalphas
You don't have to have CS3 to do this technique since it's just a matter of using the outline to create the custom alpha. Or, try incorporating a
scalloped background paper that you created yourself. The tutorial is
here: http://www.scrapbit.com/2008/02/12/digi-tip-and-a-lo -- these are
bonus points!

Great challenge, Savitri. Had to sit out the last 2 but I'm going to give this a try in the traditional vein.
Great! I'm going to try the other challenges later but prob. not the glitter stuff. I have some but man, I got glitters ALL over the place the first and last time I tried. I love the look of it but wow, hubby hated the after effect.
I have a stack of pictures in front of me and all of my stuff within reach. I just kind of throw everything togerhter. Can I do another page for the same challenge or is it only one per challenge. (Either way I'll still be doing another page.)

Great sketch! You're making me want a wider printer! Guess I'll just have to do 9 rectangles . . . not squares. That way my photos won;t be so small!
It's up to your imagination
I don't have a wide printer either so I print 8.5x11 for matting or strips of paper. If not, I'll print alphas or just journaling.

Thanks! I wanted to print my photos bigger which would have meant a print area of larger than 8.5 inches! I'm liking what I did as a rectangle though. Now just looking for some embellies and stuff to go with my photos!

Um, I'm going to have to go traditional on this one. I've dabbled in digi scrappin' but can't even come close to understanding some of the digi speak there in the description.
Anyone who does a digi page can get it printed by shutterfly, just turn it into a jpg and print it as one 12x12 pic.
I can't explain it too well.

If you, or anybody, have a digi question, ask away. I'll be happy to answer anything and I'm sure there will be others who can chime in to clarify things.
Oops, ok
Ok, one entry/challenge but you can make as many pages as you want -- especially Heather since she's the Road Runner over there
This is the Brady Bunch challenge not Looney Toons, ha!
This just reminded me that I have pictures of the ROAD RUNNER I saw in AZ a few weeks ago! maybe I'll do that for this challenge. I'll have to think on that one! hmmmm....
