Default SBVC17 stamping on flowers...2.28.08

SBVC17 stamping on flowers...2.28.08

Usually we don't have a challenge during VSBN, but this is a technique you could possibly use on one of your pages, so maybe you will get a chance to do it this week-end.

You can customize some of those flowers (paper, plastic, acrylic, die cuts or stickers, any flowers will do!) in your stash by stamping on them. I used craft ink, black acrylic paint and StazOn, all worked well. When stamping on plastic or acrylic flowers be careful about the stamp sliding.

Try stamping some images on vellum or transparencies and lay them over the flowers, gives you an idea on how it will look.

Even your tiny flowers can look very different when stamped. if you want to use the same flower on a page, but want them all to look a little different - stamp them with different stamps and colors

my samples:

kids are HILARIOUS

Christmas magic

I can't wait to see your pages!

you can find all submissions for this challenge here: SBVC17

I hear you - I haven't been using them that long either. they are everywhere, even Michaels and JoAnn's have some.

You can also use the die-cut flowers for this challenge. some of those that come in the SSK's. Seriously some of them "need something" IMHO and I think I'll trying some stamping and maybe get them used up.

Wow, that was a blast! Thanks so much for adding this to my repertoire, Peggy! I was surprised at how well it worked, actually! I used StazOn black on silk, paper and card stock flowers and the images were so crisp! So I'm not a silk flower virgin anymore either - whew! Oh, and I also tried emboss resist for the first time. Anyhow, hope you like it!

Lovely (if I do say so myself :o) )
detail from Lovely

(also my first try linking with a word - I'm learning so MUCH today!)
