Wow! What an awesome idea ~ I have a few flower punches and love the idea of making my own primas!! Thanks, Valita, for sharing your very creative idea ... I'm off to make some primas!!
Thanks for the technique...it remined me a lot of cake decorating and course II I used to teach for Wilton...kind of like making fondant or gum paste flowers...
This is fabulous, beyond fabulous, it is genius!!! I am doing them in a workshop tonight and I know the gals will fall in love!!! Thank you so much for sharing this.
I got my handmade card in a pack meant for kids crafts at the cheap shops.....yes you could use other card you will get different results depending on the fibers in the card i found that the handmade card looks closest to the prima look...just experiment with differe types...Luv Valita
Thanks for your great instructions! I was at Archiver's a day ago and bought a new die made by Quick Kutz called "flowers" that has three different sizes of flowers on it. I think it looks very close to the Prima's.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is just Greatttttttttt ...those flowers are so expensive but now i can make my own thanx to you !! xx jo xx
Thanks for sharing your discovery! These are great! I tried making them out of handmade paper, mulberry and textured cardstock. Each one looked different but wonderful. Thanks again!
I spotted Valita's tutorial a while ago on her blog and have been making the flowers ever since. I often use off cuts from whatever I have put on the card e.g. trying Zindorffing I usually crop my finished image and sometimes use the edges to make matching flowers e.g. this one Butterfly by GlendaC at Splitcoaststampers
Wow ~ This is such a fabulous idea & tutorial!!! I have been searching high and low for the original style red Primas but I think they have stopped making them and the ones I do find aren't the right shade of red. Thanks so much for posting this!
What a great idea. I love the prima flowers, but hate spending the money on them and then never having the right color. I just need to find the time now
Thats a really frugal way to think!! I love how you use what you already have to create new things!!
