Default SU Cardstock Weight

Does anyone know the weight of SU paper? I want to but 110 lb weight in white at Staples for the "card" and wonder how it compares.

different papers can have different weights, even if it says the same thing. Not all 110# card stock will feel the same, there are some great discussions on here about how different paper is labeled.

As to answer your question the SU paper is 80# card stock weight.

I know that the Walmart paper is 110# card stock weight, but then so is the Papertrey White, it is also 110# weight, and let me tell you there is absolutely NO comparision what so ever to the two weights, even though they both say the same thing. Papertrey is a very thick heavy weight card stock, where the walmart is a nice weight but no where near what PT's is.

btw, I have found that a nice cover weight is better then a card stock weight.

I personally use Beckett Expressions 80# cover weight, but have also heard great things about the Domtar paper from Staples.

I just found out from the lady at my local Xpedex (paper store) that the 110# GP from Walmart is 'index' weight, and that is why it feels thinner. Never knew there was a difference between weights before that.

Then add the TAC paper to this. It says it is #80, but it is heavier than SU paper, as heavy or more than the GP #110 from Wal-Mart. I do not have any of the PaperTrey to compare it with.

It seems there are many ideas as to what #80 paper is.
