Just a little FYI that you may already know. I bought an alphabet set for the kids cuttlebug, which are a WHOLE lot less and tried it with my cuttlebug. If you use the "C" plate, they work!!! I had to kind of punch them out but if you want an alphabet set for less, give it a try.
anjstamping......In an effort to make the CuttleKids dies cut through better in the Cuttlebug, in addition to the cutting pads, use a shim or two. I've used just some small pieces of cardstock.....whatever works for you.
Also.....since the alphabets are rather small, after cutting, run them through the X Xyron to put sticky back on them. Or you could put a larger sheet that fits in the Cuttlebug though the larger Xyron to make the whole sheet sticky and cut your letters that way. Much easier than using glue stick afterward.
Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. I was so glad that it worked. I just got my cuttlebug for Christmas so I am still learning. I can't afford the regular letter dies right now so I was so glad that the kids set worked.
I got some last week with a coupon and found the same thing. It doesnt even leave a mark on your paper if you try two b's. The A, C and B combo works great with SU cardstock.

I had a friend borrow my daughter's Cuttlekids alpha set to do a scrapbook page and it was super cute. Its a great way get an alpa set at a cheaper cost. Michaels and Joann's now carries them and you can use the coupons.
I think the pressure on all Cuttlebugs must be a little bit different. I used the Cuttlekids alpha set with cardstock and the regular B plates, just like I do to emboss or diecut with regular Cuttlebug stuff. They came out great with no adjustments required.

I also used them with my Big Kick! They have some super cute dies that you can't get for the 'grown up' version that go with some of the stamps sets that SU sells too ... Great value and variety!
