I posted a thread way back in the summer but didn't have much luck in getting any replies so I thought I'd try it again...Since the summer, I have met two other SCS sisters in the Colorado Springs area...we have me and it has been wonderful. I would love to have a stamping get-together with those that would be interested. We could do a stamp camp or a shoebox swap...LMK
The two stamping sisters that I've met are:
Jovita Kloess/Jovi (one of our awesome SCS mods)
Natasha Sansoni (nsansoni)
I know that there are a couple more of you out there...let's hear from you. If you are uncomfortable posting publicly, drop me a PM!
Looking forward to hearing from you CO Springs Stampers out there!!
I'm not in the springs but only a couple of hours from you. I have actually organized a few shoebox swaps in the springs for SCSers. Let me know if you have any events in the future, I'd be happy to come or help.
we're waiting to hear if we're moving back to the area...when are you thinking of getting together? I would love to meet some other stampers if we get back there!

Hey!! I just saw this...........I'm in Monument......and have another friend who I'm bugging to get on here!!! I'm kinda new to stampin' and mostly am on the Flybaby forum.....but I'd love a get-together!!
This is so great...will talk to Natasha (nsansoni) and we'll see if we can get a group together in February...will keep you all posted! Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy 2007!!!
So sorry everyone...I haven't forgotten you all. I've still been having lots of pain issues with the joints in my lower back and just haven't felt up to planning anything yet. I'm hoping to meet with Natasha next week and we'll see what we can plan for maybe April or May. I promise I'll let you all know!
I'd like to know about a get together too... I'm in Colo/Springs off Powers Blvd. I don't know of a place, but wouldn't mind meeting up. I work weekend days but may be able to manage to get off for some fun. Let me know what happens.
Thanks,
Mary
Hi Mary...will be sure to let you know when we plan something. I'm in that area too depending on which part of Powers Blvd you are....take care and will be in touch.
I work at the Michaels on Powers here in CO/Springs.... spoke to the store manager about possibly using the classroom for a SCS gathering, she said they'd rent it to us for $10 an hour. It's not a huge room but I think we could get up to 15 in there. It would also depend on availability, and looks like Sunday would be the best. Let me know what you all think and I can set it up if anyone else is interested in helping organize the activity(s) let me know I'd appreciate that. We could split the cost of the room?
Mary
Mary!! I go in there all of the time! I might have come through your line. OMG! This is so cool! Using the Mike's classroom would be ideal! I would be willing to share the cost of the classroom and help out with the planning. LMK and I'll meet you up at Mikes and we can have coffee/tea or whatever you'd like. Sunday afternoon works for me!
If you don't mind getting it more organized I'll find out more details on the class room and if everyone is willing to split the fee for a few hours that would be good. Once I find out more detail of the classroom fee and how many it holds at max I'll let everyone know.
So what are some okay Sundays for you all? Who is interested?
Joanne,
I teach the Friday night scrapbook class and do the crops there on Fri. nights also work weekends mostly on the floor but sometimes at the registars too. I hope to run into you sometime while I'm there. I'll p.m. you later about meeting up.
Looks like we are going to start planning a get-together in the near future. If you are interested, please PM me so that I can start getting a count. Mary is looking is looking into our "renting" the Michael's classroom (the one located on Powers Blvd). As soon as I get a count, we can start planning something for a Sunday afternoon. Please contact me so that we can start the planning. Also let me know what would you be interested in doing that day...swap, project, etc. Can't wait to hear from you all...this is going to be soooooo much fun!
PS LMK if you would be interested in sharing the cost of renting the classroom too...
Mornin' CO Springs SCSers' out there...Mary and I met on Tuesday and came up with a tentative plan for our get together. She is looking into booking the Michael's craft room from Noon-around 4pm on Sunday, May 20. Please LMK if you are able to join us...should be an afternoon of food, friendship and fun!! The cost of renting the classroom is $10/hour and we thought that we could all split it. Think about some projects that you would like to do..we thought we'd do a swap and a few other fun activities. If you can join us, please PM me so that we can plan accordingly.
We also thought that we would split the alphabet in half and one half bring snacks, the other half dessert: SOOOOOO if your LAST NAME begins with A-M SNACK N-Z Dessert.
Hope to see you on May 20th and I'll be in touch with more details as they develop...
Please come and join the fun with all of your COS area SCSers? Will be so great to finally put faces to the names that we see everyday!! PM me if you are interested in joining us on May 20th!!
I'm Joanna. I live off Centennial in the Mountain Shadows area. I would LOVE to get together with y'all and stamp.
Can I come?
Absolutely!! Can't wait to meet you...will put you down on my list of attendees. Will let you details as soon as they are available!! Have a great stampin' day!!
Oh, would love to meet you all, am flying to CS, but too late, May22. I am coming to visit my Sister and parents, they will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. Any suggestions on where to take them? Any events going on the weekend of May 26-27th? TIA, Linda(from GA)
Linda, I wish you could be here for it too!!! I believe there is an even that goes on Memorial Day weekend in Old Colorado City, very close to Colorado Springs, and there are different things that happen their. Other than that we just stay home or do what ever my husband wants, since his birthday falls on the 26th.
I'll send you a pm if I hear of any events that weekend. Congratulations to your parents for 60 years of marriage!!!!
Hi Everyone...Please note that there is a time change for our gathering on May 20:
The time is now 3:30-6:30 pm. When Mary went to reserve the Michaels' craft room for the morning it had already been booked. I hope that this doesn't interfere with anyone's plans on attending. Can't wait to meet you all...see you then!
