Default Glitter help

I want to stamp an image and apply glitter to what's stamped. I think I recall someone saying to use Versamark and then apply glitter as you normally would. Is this the case? Or is there another method?

not sure if i'm right...but I don't think versamark will work because there is no binding agent..you know like glue..but I have always been told to use like the 2 way glue or just go get stickles(i believe that is what it is called)

You can use Versamark if you use Glitter embossing powder. I just bought some from Stampin' Up but I can't for the life of me remember what its called! Iridescent Ice maybe?

^^You just gave me an idea. I'll add the glitter to clear embossing powder. Let me try this and see how it works.

Give that a try and see if it works for you. If not, I did a tip on my blog about using glitter with the Tsukineko Essential Glue Pad that you might find helpful: http://createdfrompaper.blogspot.com...h-glitter

I haven't had success with that but let us know if you do!

I use Versmark + Heat & Stick Embossing Powder then glitter. That works pretty well but you gotta move fast to get the glitter on while the H & S is still warm & sticky.

I've added glitter to ultra thick embossing powder and it makes a nice shimmer in the glaze of cracked glass or "tiling."

I don't think you'd get the same type of sparkle that you'd get with straight up glitter.

I have some Martha Stewart Glittering Glue and a Sakura Quickie Glue Pen - they both work really well and I use them for other things too.

I use the Zig 2 Way Glue pen---Squeeze and Roll variety. It goes on lt. blue so you can see where you've applied and dries clear. This works great!!! I love glitter and use a lot of it---my current favorite is Martha Stewart's cryatal fine. Good luck!

I use Heat and Stick Powder. Stamp your image with Versamark or other "sticky" ink. Pour on Heat and Stick and heat just like embossing powder until it is shiny. Immediately, pour on glitter. The glitter will stick to your stamped image. It's fun and I always seem to get good results. Good luck.

Well, the glitter and embossing powder worked best with fine glitter. The coarse glitter just didn't adhere too well. The glue pen worked better, but you have to work quickly to get the glitter on before the glues dries and to get the glue off the stamp before it dries too.

A tip for the heat and stick powder: Reheat briefly to make sure the glitter sticks well.

I've tried all the methods for applying glitter to my cards. I always get glitter everywhere. I like to use stickles now!
