Christmas card stress already!
Hi all!
I am relatively new to this site and I want to say how much I love it! I can't go a day without checking in at least once to find out what is being bought, sold, traded, and posted. My problem is, I am finding myself stressing already about my Christmas cards. I would consider myself a novice stamper but one who is learning and loving it all the way. Question...what stamp set is everyone considering doing their cards in this year? I used Frosty last year and I think I did pretty good as my first attempt. Any ideas of what stamp set to use this year? I've seen the "Loads of Love" set from the holiday mini is very popular right now. What is everyone out there using? Thanks for your input!

I am making two different cards this year. I am CASEing both from the catty. One is Star of Wonder (page 43) and the other is Holiday Spirit (page 47). The Holiday Spirit one I am changing a little, instead of using confetti white, I will be using the brushed metallics. I am cutting the cardfront down and I bought the metallic cards/envelopes from the mini to put these on/in. Then I will use the metallic cord instead of the hemp. Most of my customers are using Frosty, Solemn Stillness and Frosty.

I already made all of my christmas cards using the retired: gift of love. Though my mother in law has asked me to make her cards to. She's picked out about 5 different sets and I've made 10 of 2 kinds so far. Christmas is months away. Don't stress and wait to enjoy those nice cold days inside!

I'm still playing around the idea but I think I might try the cute little X-mas globes wheel, spotlighting one globe using a dome sticker. Still have to experiment though.

I have made about 50 cards already and I used the retired set Miracle of Christmas. I am also making 50 more with Frosty.
My son is in Iraq and he asked me to send a bunch so he can distribute them to all of his friends in his platoon. So I will probably make about 100 more. I am not sure what sets I will use for those cards. I guess I need to get on the ball.

I've made about 50 cards already, but I sell them at work. I usually make about 75 to send out myself, so I have a long ways to go yet. I sold just over 100 cards last year, so I better get busy. I use several different sets, but the ones with snowmen are my favorite.

Christmas Cards
I am using A Beautiful Season this year. Last year I used A Merry Season. A Beautiful Season is versatile since you can do at least 3 variations and best of all, it's on sale this month!!
Good luck in your decision and post what you come up with..

Ya'll are making me panic!!! I don't have my Christmas stamps with me in NC and will not get back to FL until after 1st of Nov; then I'll make hay. But, in answer to your question -- I don't know which set I'll use. I usually make a variety for the 75-80 that I send out. I get bored and sloppy when I make too many of one design. Congratulations to those of you who have yours either entirely or partially done. You'll be able to devote your time to other fun things.

Am I the only one who doesn't make a "set" card? I just makes tons of different cards all year round and then send them out. I do not have the patience to make the same one over and over. If I really like one, I'll make a couple, but mine are pretty much all different. At this point I only have 12 made, b ut it's a start! And I only send about 50.....

Im relaly bad - I start with an idea - get frustrated and do NOTHING until I receive a card.
Then I make one and send it. This year I am using the new jumbo wheels from the Holi-Mini! and I'm using up some of my Non-SU paaper tha I got LAST year when I thought I would "do cards" but only send out as I received them!!
It really takes the stress off of me and lets me Celebrate the season.
Yes I am one who's shopping is DONE by Thanksgiving so I can spend my time focusing on the real reason for the Season for our family.
That is just what works for me.
I send VERY few cards - my tude is - IF I REALLY want you to have a happy holiday I do one of two things....
I SEE you and HUG you or I CALL you!!!
So I've stop stressin' and am gonna "ROLL" with it!
Smiles

I am using Yuletide Montage (figured it should be easy to do just stampin it with the new brown ink pad), and I have a couple other sets that I will use too. I am one that has to do at least 3 different cards for the 40 or 50 that I make!!

Let's see, so far I've used Very Merry, Lace Snowflakes, Figures of Speech (has a Christmas tree one in it), Noble Deer (trying to show some versatility with this set), Sleigh Ride...and I'm still waiting on the ones I ordered from the mini catalog. I get bored making the same one over and over (Did that last year with the snowman from Tags and More and the snowflake wheel).

Last year, I had a stamp camp & we did a number of Christmas cards. I just cut extra paper for all of them & then when everyone was gone, I went around & made 5 or 6 of each so I had a variety & got done ahead of time! Not like the year before were is was down to the wire.
I plan to do the same thing this year after my Christmas card stamp camp. Alot less stress that way!

I originally got Sleigh Ride to make all my Christmas cards, but I'm thinking that it might be too ambitious to make ALL my cards with that set. I don't have a huge list, but I want to make extra Christmas cards in a variety of patterns to sell, so that will cut down the amount of time I have to spend making my own cards. So, I ordered Holiday Woodcuts and In a Pear Tree to use as well. I also have the Christmas Time wheel (I think that's the name...it coordinates with Holiday Woodcuts). I'm hoping those last two will arrive soon, so I can get started...I'm a slooooow stamper! LOL!

OMG! I totally forgot about my Christmas cards!!! I've been so busy getting ready for four workshops in October, and a craft fair and two workshops in November, that I forgot about my Christmas cards. Jeez, thanks guys, now I'm really stressed!
