Default I AM IN MAJOR SHOCK!!!

I don't want to brag, but I just sold my Stampin' Up! Wild Wild West set that I had bought fro $94 in December. I needed to pay some bills and hated to part with it. BUT........Someone just paid $297.00 for it!!!! I am amazed at what people will pay for this set.

Default Congratulations!

That's great! I've seen some sets go off on eBay for crazy amounts of money...I think sometimes people get "crazed" with auction fever...and you were able to cash in on it! Very cool!

The same girl who bought your set paid $85 for a birthday greetings set... CRAZY!

She's spent an insane amount of money in the past week alone! My dh would KILL me!

OMG! I love stamps as much as the next stamper, but there is NO stamp set I would pay $297.00 for. That's just crazy. (I think of all the new stuff I could buy with that!)

Still, I'm happy for you that you were able to sell yours for that much. I have a few SU! sets that I don't use. I guess I'd better check Ebay tonight to see if any of them are "hot"! Might help make up for the stamps I've bought from The Angel Company, Eclectic Paperie and Stamping Bella lately. ;-)

HOLY CARP! Maybe I should sell my Birthday Greetings set! I like it, but . . . I'd much rather have $85! I've got other stamps that say "Happy Birthday"!

Default Yes, she has paid for it already!!!

She must have a HUGE spending allowance!!! My husband would shoot me dead if I spent that much for one stamp set. I didn't even tell him I paid $94 for until I saw how much it sold for. I am still shocked!

GOOD FOR YOU!!! One person's - uh - stuff (can't call SU 'junk'!) is another person's treasure!!

A while ago someone purchased a 2 page 12x12 layout for $700!! I wish I found the link, someone posted it here on SCS. Granted there was a lot of homemade embellishments on there but some people have waaaaay too much money in their pockets...

If it went for that much, that means that at least one other person was bidding against her, right? I just can't even imagine .....

That's a really good point!!

Congrats to you! I am lucky if I get to spend that much in an entire year!!!!!
As much as I love stamps, I couldn't reason or justify that on one set. Wow....I'm off to browse on ebay....you've peaked my curiosity as to how much people are willing to spend.

I wonder what other sets we might have that other people would pay that much for. I can't imagine having $297.00 for a stamp set. WOW!!! I hope you get paid, that would stink if she was just messing with you. I think I might stroll through Ebay and see what's going for high dollar.

Congratulations on your sale! as they say something is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. So good for her, if she now has something that she really wanted that she wasnt able to get anywhere else, I hope she enjoys using it.

WOW, I just can't believe some people. A couple of weeks ago here in Australia, a cuttlebug embossing folder (textile) which retails here for $10 anywhere, sold on ebay for $55 including postage (it was $2.50). I thought I should lock mine away or sell it on ebay and just go to my LSS and buy another one.

And to think you could have given it to me....and I would have sent you a thank you card!!! Bwahahahahahha!

I am jealous of her that she got it though....been wanting it like everyone else. I even made a card about it yesterday and tried a good old fashioned Western hold up. It didn't work!
