TLC 155 Ink, Spray & Smash 2/11/08
Hi! I’m today’s Guest Hostess for the Technique Lovers Challenge: Ink, Spray and Smash! Thank you for asking me, Beth!
A very LONG time ago, I came up with a very economical, and harmless way to make colorful background paper with glossy cardstock, re-inkers, and a spray bottle of water. I call this Spray, Ink & Smash! Here is a link to my blog with the full tutorial Here.
You can make some substitutions with this technique!*
*You can use White card stock or Printer PHOTO paper works!
*You can also use food dye!
*You can use just 2 sheets of Glossy to make more intense colors!
When you upload, please put TLC155 in the keyword section when you upload, and then post a link to your card here in this thread.
My Card

If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us STAMPIN' !!

Faith, I can't wait to try this. I'm off school today because of the cold temperatures. Thanks for filling in.

sounds like fun!! This might be a dumb question, but do you keep re-applying pressing sheets to the same base all those times? so the color gets lighter and less saturated? hmmm
can't wait to try this out!

Faith,,,,this sounds like a really neat technique. I'll have to check my reinkers and see what I can come up with.
Will be back later. Thanks.......

Thanks for a great challenge Faith. I'm off to go ink, spray and smash! I've wanted to do this for a long time and this challenge is getting me in gear. I love the look of this paper, it reminds me of my favorite batik fabrics!

Uh, oh, Faith!! I think you have created a monster and my husband will not be happy! I absolutely love how my paper turned out and I think this could become another obsession for me. I already love to hand dye fabric and create lots of messes with that....now the paper isn't safe in our house either!! Plus, I need to order more reinkers for options since I only have 6!!
I wish I didn't have to go to work today, so I could finish and create a card using my wonderful paper....I'll have to do that tonight once I'm home again. Why didn't I marry for money instead of love???

Thanks, Faith, for hosting today. I have exactly two re-inkers-Hybrid Palette Noir and Burnt Umber! Don't know how that will turn out but will try to play later on today.

Thanks for hosting Faith! I love this technique - I made a card with it for one of the VSN challenges you did!
Probably won't get to make a card today - as I'm working then going out to hear some Irish music - maybe tomorrow!

As much as I would love to try this, I don't think I will be able to play today. I'm having "women" surgery today to remove some precancerous cells. I don't think I will be feeling well enough to try. But I might try in a few days.
