I think that Stampin up should keep the In Colors and put them on a dormant list so we would at least be able to buy more. I kicked myself last year for buying just 3 of the In Colors and swore I wouldn't do it this year but I'm finding myself drawn to Groovy Guava, River Rock and Soft Sky....oh yeah and Purely Pomegranate. If I decide to indulge I will have to buy the ink pad, the refill and the cardstock......but wait then I need the textured paper and the designer papers that match..........How many of us bought 2-3 packs of cardstock and reinkers last year, just so we won't run out anytime soon? It gets expensive........
I too, would love to see them stay but if the FW 08 catty is like last year's- I will forget all about the current IN colors once I see the new ones. LOL! I bought the re-inkers and several packs of Cool Caribbean and the asst paper before they retired. Ask me how many times I have used them.......I don't think I have even once.
I love the current IN colors but I can't wait to see what SU has in store for next year!
What I wish is that they would keep the in colors, but use them to replace some of the current colors. For example, I like groovy guava much, much better than cameo coral, and maybe replace bordering blue with soft sky.

i liked the ones from last time and i like these... i am sure i will like the next set too.
i like that they are leaving the 'core 48' the same.
if they swapped them out you may never be able to stay on top of that. i am still collecting the 48. i would be a little peeved if they decided to start messing with them.
My heart said yes....BUT......logic said no.
Too many colours.
I agree with Nancy and Julie.....keep the most popular of the 'in' colours. Or replace old not so popular colours.
Wish the 'in' colours were cheaper though.....it's tough buying all the 'stuff'.
What do they do with the leftovers????????
I didn't vote because I can't decide!! I really love these colors and I haven't really had a chance to use them much this year. Plus I feel like I'm so busy hoarding In Color supplies I'm not focusing my attention on the regular colors enough.
I'm not sure that they should keep the in colors current. However, I would like if SU! would periodically bring some of the past in colors back during one of their mini-catalogs. I think that it would be exciting and drive up sales.
Yes, I'd love to see them permanent; however SU was very clear about the In Colors as they launched them in 2006 and last year's colors were awesome too! I do no beleive that they will be permanently available; so will stock up just as I did last year!!!

No - the point is to keep them current and change them up! If you know they are always going to be there, they aren't as interesting. Once the New colours are up you will be drawn to them and forget about the old In Colors.
No- that would defeat the purpose of having in colors.
I couldn't agree more. Last year's In Colors were equally as popular and for awhile I missed them as well, but am now in love the current In Colors. Come August, I'll miss some of these In Colors, but I'm sure I Love the new colors. That's the whole point- new and fresh colors to supplement the core 48 colors.
I voted no. Although I really really love this year's in colors, I can't wait to see next year's! On my wish list for 2 years now has been a nice poppy red color. Can't find that anywhere!
I voted no. I kinda see it as a money grab on SU's part. Create in colours - create demand - scare everyone that oh - they will be gone!!! Buy them!! I don't know what the answer is. Maybe as one other poster suggested - get rid of some of the old colours that are not current and replace them with more current colours.
I don't like the oh - here are new stamps / colours and we might / will retire them in 6 months/ 1 year. It's nothing more than a money grab. Other companies come out with new stamps and colours etc several times a year - but they don't retire many things until years and years after. That is my kind of company.
I think the whole concept is great. Have the 48 standard colors, but offer something new and fresh each year. I was sad to see Cool Carribean retire, but I bought some extra paper and refills, so I'm good to go. I'll stock up on Soft Sky this year, and I'm excited to see the new colors!
being in Australia, we are so behind you lucky girls in US... our in colours are still true thyme, cool carribean etc etc.... so if anyone NEEDS any of these colours, drop me a PM and I'll get you some.... :p

Agreed!!! It would upset me too. I love the in colors this year. I really do. Much better than last years but I'm already anxious to see next years in colors!
Nope. They're meant to be temporary -- SU was VERY up front about that right from the start. I think it's wonderful to have the extra colors, but when it's time for them to go, I'll be just as happy to say hello to the new colors. Change is good!!
I think they should replace some of their perm colours. I love blue bayou and river rock more than any colour from SU. The idea of In Colours in a great one as colours do go in and out of style but that's also the reason why they need to update the colours that they carry all the time too.

I think they should do just what they started out to do, change the "In Colors" every year. That way we have new colors to look forward to every year!
I'm guessing that if they changed the In Colours every year they wouldn't sell as much In Colour ink. I would still buy In Colour paper if it changed every year as I go through paper so fast and don't always make cards that are stamped. I personally wouldn't buy In Colour ink if they changed it every year as I like to have ink that matches the paper perfectly. My ink lasts a long time and eventually they wouldn't be selling the paper to match my ink any more.
I also think they stay current enough with trends through all the patterned paper they sell. Why not just add a few solids to each set and change those sets more often.
Those are just my thoughts on it.

They DO change them every year. That's the point! New fresh colors every year that follow the current color trends. Just like in fashion, colors that are popular change every year.

Good thing I didn't buy any colour ink then. lol Why does it seem like these colours have been around so long. Is this the last Catty with them in it?
I also agree with a few other people that their regular line needs some updating. I cringe at the thought thoough since I just bought the whole set of Pastel inks.
I'd be upset if they messed with the core 48 colors. I think the in color idea is great. Keep the major colors and supplement with 6 popular colors for that year. If they replaced any of the core 48 with these in colors, they would have to do this every year, and a couple years from now someone will say soft sky and groovy guava are outdated and should be changed.
I also like the idea of keeping the most popular "in-color". I am still mourning the loss of Cool Caribbean from last year. PM me if anyone is willing to part with paper they are not using; it was sold out before I could get more. :(
I LOVE the in colors. BUT I really like how 6 new colors come out every year. As long as I stock up on the cardstock and reinkers I am ready for the new ones!
That's why it seems like the currents In Colours have been around longer than a year....Buckaroo Blus was carried over. I had ordered that ages ago and it was still in this cataloge so I thought that they hadn't changed their colours in over a year. Silly me.

Buckaroo blue isn't in the current catalog (unless you're in australia, I believe they have "old" in colors)- there is one called blue bayou- which is a similiar name.
I almost never buy the in color colors because I can't get spots or markers for them and I know that after a year they will be gone so why bother....I definitely miss some of the old retired colors though and wish we had a dormant option....
