Where can I find altoid tins?

I've seen some beautiful work done with altoid tins and I have no idea where to get them. I live in BC, if that makes a difference. I'm also interested as to where I can get to see the new mini catalog. I read somewhere that they had seen it on the SCS. Will be glad to hear from anybody.

Heck, I just sent a ton to the recycling center - although most were the gum sized containers... my dh has an altoid habit...

Are you just looking for small tins? I buy the gift card tin that walmart sells for under a dollar( ? 92 cents). It is a little bigger you should check it out.

Specialty Bottle has plain ones. You could probably do a Google search and find more sources.

Rachel, thanks so much for that link to Specialty Bottle. My demo friend has been interested in the altoid tins but wasn't sure about where to get them, etc...

Ooooh! What a great site! Thanks Rachel. They have several items I've been looking for at reasonable prices!

Default where to find altoid tins

Well I guess if you don't like Altoids you will have to order them somewhere but I live in Saskatchewan and I get them anywhere - 7-11, Walmart, Superstore, Sobeys, Mac's, Shoppers. Where ever they sell candy or gum.

I like altoids - especially cinnamon. I have also found the tiny little tins at London drugs.

If you like Altoids Target usually has a sale. They will sell a package of 3 for $1!! if you do not like Altoids you can always throw the candy away!!

Red face what can I do with these tins?

Hi! I know this will sound REALLY silly, but I'm always seeing people in search of tins for their projects, and I always have tins, but have never seen any of these projects that people make! What can I make with them, and can you point me in the right direction to see ideas? Thanks!

to find the Altoid tin projects...

*go to Gallery
* Click on the "SEARCH" that is to the tight of "My Favorites" in one of the dark bars
* In keywords enter "altoid" and hit Execute Search.

Here's the link to the search results:

Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

Edited to add - you can also look in Anything But A Card/ Contain Yourself. There you'll find tins among other things (where you'll find altoid tin pieces by those who forgot to actually put the word "altoid" in their description - like me...)

If you have a Dollar General store in BC (they're on just about every block here in U.S.) they have their own brand and it was really inexpensive!

Default altoid tins

I have a question about using altoid tins- how do you paint them so that when you close the lid it does not scrape off the paint???

Thanks in advance!
