I am in need of a new paper cutter. I have the old Stampin Up cutter but it is wore out. Just wondering what anyone thinks of the Stampin Up paper cutter?
Or is there something else better out there? Thanks
I own just about every paper cutter there is. I've paid a LOT of money for a couple of the high-end cutters. I ordered the Stampin' Up! tabletop cutter and could not be happier! Cuts straight, no blade to replace, portable enough to tote with me, study enough to withstand constant use and small enough to fit into my crowded studio.
I really do just love this cutter and am ordering a second one for the classroom where I teach classes.
I especially love the ability to shave small, thin slices evenly.
As I have stated to friends, they'll have to take the SU tabletop cutter out of my cold, dying hands!
I seem to be a 'collecter' of paper cutters--both of my SU cutters are on the top of the pile and get used the most. At the bottom of the heap is my Heavy Duty Carl Cutter DC210--that was supposed to save the day--but I never could actually cut a piece of paper in half with that monster, it is huge! I also have a useless photo trimmer from Creative Memories, never got the vision of that one either!
So, the answer to your question is 'yes' I like the SU table top cutter--but don't expect it to cut several sheets at once. I can cut two sheets of colored cs and maybe three of white with perfection.
