Are you getting excited for SWISS? Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 12!
Food! Fun! Stamping! Half-naked men! Oh, wait. :-) Not really.
We are set for Archivers at 9:30am. We were able to schedule the room until 1:30! We'll actually have time to finish! They have started charging us for the use of the classroom, so our cost will go up to $7 per person. You'll get a lovely brunch, great friends, and wonderful stamped projects!
Please plan your swap to take no longer than 10 minutes, so that everyone gets a chance to finish up. You'll need to bring:
Your shoebox swap (for 17 people, please), including all supplies needed to complete it. Please prepare a supply packet (can be a sandwich bag or something similar) for each person. You also need to bring *2* completed versions of your swap: one for a sample and one for the display board!
Your own scissors and adhesive of choice.
A stamping related doorprize ($5 in value--can be handmade or purchased) for the drawing. Everyone will go home with a prize!
We have 17 people signed up, so please bring two finished samples and packets of materials and instructions for 17. We can't wait to get together again!
Sorry, we're unable to add any further participants this time. Also, will not be able to accommodate extra or unpaid guests this time, due to Archiver's new policies. Please watch for the details for SWISS 7--to be held in October!
I will be to the Shoebox Swap on April 12. So Count me In. I haven't missed one yet. They are so much fun. How about this snow. I've been snowed in 3 times this week. The snow drifts where I live. It just gives me more time to stamp. Wahoo. I've been making Red Hat Card Purses. They are so cute. Thank You so much Amy and Rachel for always setting up our Swaps.
Put me on the List.
Happy STamping - Edith
Can you believe the snow! Of course, we used to have winters like this "in the olden days," but not for awhile! Fortunately, our neighbor has a tractor with a snowplow attachment, and he is keeping us plowed out after the worst storms.
this is what winters were like while I was growing up here in Idaho...I missed it so much! My family now blames me for all the snow because I missed it so much and now that I have moved back we are slammed with snow..I really don't mind it at all until I have to drive

I LOVE the snow!!! I've been in CA since Jan. 4th and I've heard it's been snowing a lot since I've been gone. I was complaining about how I wish I were home for the snow and how much I missed it. Well, my hubby and daughter went back home on the 21st and they're blaming me for all the snow they've been getting. I am so jealous...I wish I were snuggled up infront of the fire with a cup of cocoa watching it snow! They brought home a lil' chihuahua with them from CA...poor lil' thing is freezing her tooshy off! Ya'll probably have more snow in the forecast...we just had a good rain storm yesterday...it's probably headed your way in the form of snow
I remember lots of these winters in the 80s, but the 70s were pretty dry, it seemed like. Just a cycle, I guess! All the people who've built along the Boise River in the last 10 years are in for a fun spring, I would guess. It amazed me to watch so many houses go up along Eagle Rd, where we used to watch some pretty serious flooding in the springs.
Sorry if any of you are in those houses. :-) It's the developers' fault!
Will anybody be going to Archiver's soon? Maybe you could peek in the classroom and see if I remembered right or wrong. :-) I think there are 4 tables. Are there more than that? I hope so!

when i was a sophmore in HS, 78-79 I think we had a lot of snow that year. they let school out early and the snow was almost up to the bumper on our car...we loved it as kids
Hi Ladies--Just a quick note, 'cause I have ten people arriving in an hour for a cardmaking class. :-)
I talked to the manager at Archivers today and made some new arrangements. I hope to be able to update you all on that tomorrow morning.
There are only the 4 tables in the classroom, but she thinks we could squeeze a few more than 16 in there if we all get along. LOL
I have to pay them $3 per person on April 1, so March 31 really is the deadline. If I don't have your money by then, you will not be on the list. We will not be allowed to have drop-ins at this event, since they are charging per person.
Anyway, I will put the next 8 people on a waitlist and we'll see how it goes from there. More details tomorrow!
Please check the first post for some updates! We are taking up to 24 names right now, and openings may come up as people have to change their plans. Please post if you have any questions!
At Archivers there are three to four tables on each side of the room.
There are 4 tables in each room, but you guys will be in the classroom "privately". You have the option to move into the other room after 1:30 if there are seats available.
Ladies, I'm sorry it took a little time to respond - was waiting on a decision from family for an out of area baby shower - looks like I will be in El Paso that weekend celebrating a new baby in the family..... enjoy and will have to make it next time. Thanks for the invite.
