ahhhhh SCS Celebration of Friends just over 3 weeks away
:shock: :shock: :shock: Our little Celebration of Friends Sharades (wherever she is ;) ) is 3 weeks from Saturday and I DON"T KNOW WHAT TO MAKE FOR SHOEBOX SWAP!! My mind is a TOTAL blank (nothing new but driving me nuts now) I really gotta get that done and get some swaps done too, we are just doing card fronts right??
IT"S TRUE! the gathering is growing closer as we speak. How exciting.
Boy Lana, you are on the ball girlfriend.
Schrades's computer has been on the fritz.
Postcards went out today to all of you that plan on coming to the gathering. There are 34 confirmed ladies so plan your shoebox swap and completed swap cards accordingly.
The plan is for FULL cards for both the swap and the shoebox swap.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me or schrades at any time. NO question is to silly to ask.
I will keep everyone posted on new updates.

oh meant full cardsfor shoebox, but if anyone swapping?? and those are fronts right?? .. my brain on front mode!! You know me.. I had something designed to use but changed my mind cause didn't like it... ahhhhhhh gotta think... think... think.. rofl
Oh Kar, I am soooo glad I'm not the only one stressing about what to put in my shoebox. Do you think anyone will give us hints as to what they are doing?

Wow Carol you are probably going right by my house when you go... You taking Hwy 29 to Wausau right?? I am a mile off that highway an hour East of Eau Claire. Is everyone doing Halloween, Christmas, or just any occassion??? Hubby thinks I am nuts to stress over this but I am!! :?
Ladies, please don't stress, keep it simple and only do what your time will allow for swapping. For me the gathering is about meeting everyone and the swaps are a bonus.
NO SWEAT SHOULD BE SHED DO YOU HEAR ME!! Or you will have to give me an extra stamped goodie... Oh, is that adding to the stress.... :?
Just have fun with the swaps.
Hint: I'm using It's Snow Time for my shoebox swap. Don't stress. Have fun with it. We are all crazy about stamping so anything you come up with, we will like! Well except you Kar! I hold you to higher standards! LOL!
I have yet to come up with my shoebox swap too... but lots of times I am a last minute kind of person.. and I change my mind on a ton of stuff all the time..
I do however have my stamping item to donate for a doorprize almost complete.. if you saw my work in the dd gallery in august I used a technique on the cover ( :O did I give too much away there ? ) that I did on a card.
Right this minute, I am not quite so jealous . I am not stressing over swaps, but I do wish I could go. Other than a jobless dh, a soccer tournament, and an altar server Sunday am, nothing's holding me here. Y'all just have to make sure Robin gets everything; she promised to share. Maybe I will have to send her with an extra stash of chocolate, just in case she needs bribe material ...
I too, am a last minute person like pinefeather.
My biggest problem is that I can come up with an idea but if it is weeks before I actually use it, it becomes old and I need to come up with something fresher. How retarded is that....But hey, that is what makes me me!
Lana, you are going to get me to buy that set too huh! I almost got it but chose a different one instead that which by the way I got cuz of YOU! hehe

WooHoo... now we know how to bribe (former) Queen Lana! I wonder what a 3 Musketeer sceptor would get us? (are you all Queens all the time, or do you give up your reign to the next Queen, hence the "former"?)
I can really relate with Kookie. If I plan my "project" to early, I'll have to change it and enhance it until it's time to leave... Better to stress over which idea to use than do that :lol:

Yet another hidden talent of the Queen of Aavatar is her skill with a camera. Robin - if you don't lose your job because I introdued you to this site, you'll hate me for blabbing! I nominate Robin for some of the recording for posterity duties. Who will be in charge of the scrapbook pages? No big deal - just 34 of each page ... Can you say troublemaker here?
a 35th page would require the specialty chocolate wrapped in gold! Or in Lana's case, specialty chocolate filled with a rich gold nugget!

That is more the truth than you know! The other day I was behind a car that got side swiped by another-- Holy crap I sure was glad I know a few medical tricks! So yup it goes where I do! and ya never know when I'll be dropping stuff :oops: LOL!

O goody goody goody :lol: I'm doing a happy dance all around my kitchen.
Problem - what exactly is a shoebox swap. What do I need to do? Are there any other swaps? Will Queen Lana be there? Do I have to have to curtsey, or can I just bow and kiss her hand? :lol: I've never been in the presence of a Queen before - I'm not sure I'll know how to act. But I bet if I bring 3 Musketeer bars, maybe she won't notice that I'm not curtseying. What do you think?
My DH is going out to Montana hunting at the end of October (his vacation) so now, he is going to spring for my vacation in Wausau. He doesn't know it yet, but I don't think I'll have to beg too much!

it is one day but some of us are staying overnight at the Lodge(lodgeatcedarcreek.com) and having fun with our families for the weekend! It has a fantastic 50,000sq ft waterpark(indoors)!
Yes Lana is coming! Ha ha I love this excitment! it makes all this work so much more fun!
