Actually, I think they look fine as well. You chose the perfect stamp to use for this--the unevenness of the sides of the paper cube give the flowers a sort of batik look, don't you think? I like the look!
I could be dumber than I look....What's wrong with it? You know that if you gave it to your mom, she would LOVE it!!!! (Mom's love anything their kids make, no matter how old they are, or how bad you think it is! Hooray for Moms!)
But really, I like the cubes, are they glued on one side so they stay together? I like your colors of the flowers and the ribbon
I've never done cubes before soooo....
They are glues on one side so only three sides are stamped...I showed my DH and he likes it! I am just not happy with the unevenness of the paper but I guess it would do better to go to Office Max and ask if they can do any better!!! SU! sells memo cubes but they are just too small for my liking and so I want to find somewhere that sells them a little bigger!
Keri,
Actually they look pretty good! It's not your fault that office max messed up the cutting. Does anyone know of a place (besides SU) to get memo cubes already cut... with nice even sides of course??
I'd like to do quite a few as gifts and I'm trying to keep the cost down.

First of all Keri, I don't see where there is a problem! :? When you stamp on cubes there will always be some uneveness. Did you use a rubberband. If you use one of those very thick tight rubber bands around your cube, it compresses the paper together better so that it is easier to stamp.
My downline's husband works for a printer and he said that some printers would cut your cube paper. I think that they will even put the glue on one side and I really don't think that thier prices are real expensive because they use their scraps to do it. This means that you can get any size you want. It's worth looking into.
Hope this helps - but really Keri, you cubes are very nice.
I think they look very nice. It kinda looks like you watercolored the flowers. I don't know for sure but you may want to try a quick print shop or the like. They may have ends of paper that they would pad for you just for the cost of the padding. I'm sure it wouldn't be something you can wait for but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Keri, I would say Office Max didn't do a good job, they sides are not smooth.. I ordered mine from Stamponthis.com, and LOVE them... The sides are very smooth! I also ordered duplicate checkbook covers from them and am very happy with those also.

Jackie thanks for the www.stamponthis.com site. I had never been to that one before! I really want the cubes to be bigger than 2 3/4 inches...I can get that size from SU!...Thanks to the rest of you for your input about the other sources...I am actually going to go back to Office Max and ask them if that is the best they can do... Then I am going to go to the other stores and see if they can do better! Thanks for all of your nice comments...I really love these colors together, thanks Lana!!!
Ya it was the office store- I have done both - from staples and they turned out like yours, but I also took some to my local printer and had some done and they were perfect--- the difference was the cost - Staples was a $1 a cut, 3$ for the pad of paper ---- printer was 5$ a cut(although they were all even)- total for ream of paper was 15$- depends - after using both I am going back tomy printer....

Oh, sweet Keri ~ Office Depot/Max did you wrong!! Those are horrid blocks, not horrid stamping jobs. The fact that you got it to look so good with what you had to work with is a true miracle. I had mine done at Pip Printing and they did a fabulous job. No issues what so ever once I told her what I needed. I was very specific and she did her absolute best to keep them even. No, they weren't perfect, but I give her an A+ for effort. My Pip for 6 cubes cost was $10.81 total. I didn't think that was too bad.
And I opened this thinking I was going to see you with baby food or dirt all over your face
Kymbers, I am coming to your house and we are going to Pip Printing together!!!!!!! Or maybe it would be better if I just called the printers here in my area tomorrow!?!?! LOL
Thanks for your input here girls! I am so glad I have this great group of gals who care enough to share their very best....themselves!!! You all are GREAT!
I'm not one to talk bad about SU, but I got 4 of their cubes last year, and the sides looked just like these. (Not that these look bad, but like you, I was hoping for a smooth side.) I was really disappointed in the quality of the product, which is very unusual for SU! I will be looking at different printers in town to try to find something better.
Keri- honestly they are not all bad, if you are really that unhappy with them, you can always send one or two my way! hint hint!!
There are a few print shops in town here that take the ends of their paper and make them into notepads that they GIVE AWAY They are glued together almost perfect. Schrades and I scored about 15 THICK pads each! We finally had to tell them we had enough
Did I say they were FREE!!! Cubes they were not, but within my budget, totally!
I'd try local print shops. I am sure they would work with you. After all, it is easier for them to give it away than to pay to recycle it. So they tell me
I bought mine from www.stamponthis.com....they are the greatest!!I just bought 10 more! the quality is excellent , and they are cheaper then Stampin'Up!.......they stamp beautifully!!
