Timbits are a Canadian thing. From a donut shop called Tim Horton's. We Canadians are addicted to them. :-D

Hi Ladies! In the instructions (#11) she recommends enlarging it on a printer and tracing it to 12"x12" CS if you want it larger. My guess is that she just used the size as it is printed. The bottom of the box measures 1 5/8" x 2 7/16". The real question here is will the chocolate nuggets fit in this box and how many? ; )

Thank you so much for figuring this out. I can't wait to try it. Of course, I might need to run to Tim's for a few apple fritter bits just to give me the energy to try this project... What a great idea.!

Sorry it took me so long to reply -
I did not enlarge it - I used it as is. It is very tiny. The photo shows the original size of the box and the miniature version I created. The reason I did it this particular size is so that it can print onto a regular printer sized paper (8 1/2" x 11").

If you want to enlarge it on a photocopier, try enlarging it by 109%. I just did simple math (12 divided by 11). It won't get that much bigger because I used the width of the 8 1/2" x 11" page. The width of a 12x12 page is only 1 inch larger.

My other idea is to enlarge it as much as you want. The printer should spit out several pieces of paper which you can and piece together with tape. Create/Draw your own little tabs at the folds which is to attach the cardstock together.

For example, if you wanted the box at 200%, cut out the template so that you will have two seams instead of one. The second seam will be at the opposite corner. Create the same type of tab that already exists on the template. You should be able to maximize 2 sheets of 12x12 at 218%.

Warning - I did not test my "theories" above, I only used my calculator.

I'm glad everyone is enjoying it! That makes it all worth while!

Jeanne

Dunkin Donuts does NOT closely compare to Timmy's!

Now I want some chocolate glazed TimBits and a LARGE French Vanilla Cappuccino *drooooooool*

It's been YEARS since I've had Timmy's :(

No dunkin in Ontario or just in your town ? Here, where you can find a Tim Horton, you can also find a Dunkin Donuts... often just side by side... like in my town ! And, yes, Timbits is the same thing like Dunkin's Munchkins. It's the piece removed from the donut to make the hole.

So... now, I want timbits !!!

And very beautiful pattern ! I love it !
