Default Honey Bee/Cutter Bee Scissors

Can these scissors be used to trim stamps? I am in a small town on vacation and can't find craft/rubber scissors anywhere. I don't want to do an online order because I want to stamp today. Anyone every use these to mount stamps? Did it work out ok?

Sure they'll work. They won't feel as good as the rubber scissors that SU sells, but they do work. Also, I find that the cut is a little messier with Cutterbees.

I've used them - an added bonus is the honeybees won't get all gunky from the adhesive on the stamps.

I've got both types and have used the honey bee to trim stamps without a problem. Just be careful with the blade - I was surprised at just how well those little scissors cut fingers!

I have successfully used Cutter bee scissors to cut stamps but was chastised on SCS by hardcore stampin uppers who said that you should only use the craft scissors for cutting them.

I use Cutter Bees & Honey Bees for all of my paper-cutting - LOVE them! I mount my stamps with the SU Craft & Rubber scissors simply because I get less "crampy" with them. It's just doesn't seem to be as much "work". Will they work for trimming stamps? Sure. Is it easier with the SU scissors - probably.

I have not tried the honeybees, but I've used my Fiskars which has a very similar blade (and a spring design). Sure it works, but after awhile I noticed that it began to dull slightly, and I needed to put more tension on it. I do like that you can get very close with the pointed blades, however, I realized that the SU craft & rubber scissors did make the job much easier (less effort required) so that's the story I'm sticking to. Something about the thick blade just makes it easier *for me.*

FWIW, I tried very hard to hold out on buying the SU one because of the price, but since I joined I used the one that came in the kit and I am now shamelessly thinking of purchasing another one for backup.

Go figure. LOL.

ETA: I just tried the honeybees to make a fair comparison, and I still prefer the SU scissors because of its thickness.

Thanks guys! No need to sell me on the SU! scissors- I have 3 pairs. I'm just on vacation and in the middle of a move from overseas. I wanted to stamp with my nieces today and didn't want to wait on an order to come in. The cutter bees did the trick but I really do prefer the SU! ones.
