Hi I'm Leslie here's a little about me
Im 30 soon to be 31
pre school teacher
scrapping psychopath and newly addicted to stamps (about a year under my belt lol)
I'm from south east Missouri but my hubby and I moved to springfield Illinois in 2000.
we have 2 cats who allow us live with them LOL
Married for 8 years to the best hubby ever!!! Aaron
we don't have any kids but have been trying for 6 years but we are slowly getting used to the idea of not having any and are kinda ok with it.
I love being creative and I love looking up the stuff in the gallery here to spark my ideas and meld them with all y'alls. Great stuff here!! super resource!!!

Hi Leslie, and welcome to SCS.
My name is Linda, and I'm also from Illinois (Itasca, which is 5 minutes from Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg). And according to your brief bio (esp the part about being addicted to stamps), I'd wager a guess that you've definitely found your new home-away-from-home here at SCS!
I'm not a teacher but I did sub for 4 years sometime back (hated it - I'm a geriatric social worker by education & training and work MUCH better with that age group!!!) but I've been a sahm for 16 years now when my daughter was born. And don't give up hope - I had her at 39, which also gives you a clue as to my age. ahem...
And we're cat lovers in our home, too - have one big fat one who we lovingly refer to as "our son."
Anyhow, thanks for introducing yourself, and welcome aboard! Give a holler if you have any questions or need help navigating around here.

I just found this post! Hi from Mahomet, (just outside of Champaign).
Hope you haven't become to addicted to this place as we have all been.
If you want to meet some of the fellow central Illinois SCS'ers you can join us on August 13 at our shoebox swap and luncheon. We had tons of fun in April at the one in Lincoln. It was nice to put faces to names.
Welcome to the site!! There are quite a few of us that are from Illinois. I live just one light north of Glittergal.

Hi,
I know this thread is a year old but I just joined and searched Peoria, IL and this popped up!
I'm from Morton, IL. Just 10 min from Peoria.
I'm just getting into stamping along with 4 of my scrapbook friends. We love the Rubber Rainbow in Galesburg and The Stampin Station in Peoria to shop!
I just won 2nd place out of 156 cards at the Rubber Rainbow in Galesburg. I'm still in shock!!
This coming weekend I'll be going there to pick up my winning card and use the GC I won.

Welcome! You meet the nicest folks from Illinois. My husband is from Peoria and we lived in both Peoria and Decatur for a while before moving back to Colorado. You'll love SCS!!!

Welcome from another Illinois native. I am about 100 mi southeast of Springfield right now but used to live in Decatur. Travel that direction to shop sometimes.
