I have been registered with this sight for a while, but only started really exploring a few days ago. I am always looking for ways to get people together to stamp because none of my family members or friends have the time or creativity and want to stamp. I already offer Stamping classes in my community. I am organizing a Stamping Night for Girl Scout Leaders in my area, but I am looking for more. I would like to do a shoebox swap and a service project (night to make cards to send to our troops) but I have no idea where to even hold one that I could use a facility free of charge. I get that luxury with Girl Scouts, but I don't know about events open to the community. I live in East Berlin. Close to York, Harrisburg, Gettysburg, Carlisle. If anyone would be interested in a shoebox swap and has an idea of a place we could get together, please respond.

I am glad to hear from both of you. It seems you are a little far away for a few hour stamping event. I used mapquest and found you both to be around 2 hours away from me. I wish you luck in finding stampers closer to home.

We've done several get togethers for DE/E. MD area in Milford. I drive down from Wilmington. Check us out We have one scheduled for Aug. 13.
I live in Gettysburg - I just have been busy with a Stamp Camp and also hosting a Huge Non-Convention Mega Swap.
I would love to try to do a Shoebox Swap or something.
I put together a Swap day in Frederick, MD last fall and I'd like to try to do something like that again.
I need to take a break from the co-ordinating aspect. The swap about wore me out!

Are you the Demonstrator that does the classes at the EB Community Center? I've seen the flyers about them.
I'm glad to hear from someone who's closer than two hours from me. I like to organize and plan things, so that's not the issue, it's finding people to participate. I am heavily involved in Girl Scouts in my area and I am organizing a Scrapbooking party for all of the Girl Scout Leaders in October. I am the one who offers the classes at EB community Center, but I have yet to hold a class there. I have a class of normally 2-3 regulars at both Dover Township and one at my house that meet monthly. I don't do too many home shows, I would rather do the classes. I just either have them give me an order or pay a class fee to attend. When would be a good time for you to participate in a shoebox swap? Do you know of anyone else who would be interested in participating?

Yeh! I'm here....but unfortunately I don't drive far from home. I'm in Lancaster County. You have a wonderful idea. Sure hope some others are able to join you in your wonderful fun filled plans....I know of several in the Carlisle area,,,whom I've given the site to....one is a demo....but has a small baby...her own works keeps her busy. Another one is a demo....and also works in a school...plus has several children....but I will send them the thread..let them decide...wish you luck..

I'm in Lancaster County (Columbia to be exact). Im new to the area and to demo'ing. I'd love to learn what a shoebox swap is, and even participate! Let me know if anyone is still part of this thread and is interested in doing something!
I am in the process of planning a Scrapbook in a Day event for my customers. If there are any Demos or customers that would like more info or who would like to join in the fun - Please PM me.

Decided to try to revive my old thread. I'm no longer in Girl scouts and now the proud mommy of a 13 month old, but just moved into a new house with plenty of room to have other people over to stamp/scrap. Looking to get some people together!
Congratulations on having a baby! I am in Chambersburg, not sure how far that is from you. I am always looking for people who love to stamp like I do. Do you have something specific in mind?

Thanks! At this point, I am just looking to get together for some dedicated stamping/scrapping time. You're about an hour from me. But I wouldn't mind working toward a shoe box swap. It's been so long since I've done much stamping, I could use some new ideas.
