Do you ever....
do a vanity search in the gallery? By that, I mean search for your own user name to see if people have cased you?
I just did and I was shocked and flattered to see that I had:
15 cases under "Krystie"
5 cases under "Kristie"
1 case under "Krysti"
(That's what I get for having such a difficult name!)
You should try it if you haven't already!

I just looked... Never been CASE'd... But I only have a few photos in my gallery. One funny thing was there were two RAKs from me posted by other people, but I seriously do not remember making one of the cards... It doesn't even look like something I would make!

Thanks for the idea to do that.

OMG! There were NINE cases in my search! Wow! Only two people had told me of their cases, so I just commented on 5 cards that had taken my ideas and run with them. They were all better than mine, LOL!

Hey, this makes me aware that if I link to another card, I should always let the original artist know. I've done this sometimes, but not sure if I think to do it every time. I'm gonna try harder from now on, because it sure is flattering to know that I've been cased--bet they'd like to know, too!

*sniff* Noone likes my cards. i couldn't join the thread about over 200 favourites as I am lucky if I get close to 10. eek! and noone has cased any of my cards. *sniff*
Well, I kind of guessed it. I think that my cards are a bit... different from what the majority of people make. But I love my cards. I think they are darn cute! *LOL*

I would have never thought to do this, but I have actually inspired/cased 2 people in their card making. I had forgotten about the one. I often case and never pm, but I think I will do that from now on.

Well, I love your cards! Your gallery is full of yummy stuff!
I wanted to make sure you knew about the CAS and OLC keywords, cuz you have some great stuff that would fit those!
CAS = Clean and simple. This is a new keyword for cards that have fewer layers, an overall cleaner design.
OLC = One layer cards
You have lots of cards that could fit those, and people want to find them!

I do it regularly. I search for Kittie, kittie747, Kittie Cards and watercolor landscapes. I love to see who may be trying landscape scenes, etc so I can comment on them. I am always thrilled to see people trying out new techniques. I am also very, very flattered when I am cased.

I do it about once a year. It's fun, and a little shocking, meaning how nice, and surprising! I send out a lot of RAKs, so a lot of what I get is people's posts of my cards. I think that is a super nice thing to do! I get more of that than people CASEing me.

I agree, Bluelemon, you have a great gallery.
I have six loney cards in my gallery but piles of them in photo holders in my craft room. My 7 year old is the only person that cases my work.

Well I have seen cards that have been cased a few times and have not been given credit. Once I saw the phrase "I saw this somewhere but don't remember where." Oh well!

ok, so now I need to post a retraction to my original post. I did a "vanity" check and was greatful and pleased to find that 12 SCS stampers gave me credit as the inspiration to their wonderful work.

I just looked at your gallery and you have some very cute cards - except for the knome. I'm kidding, it's just that I don't like knomes and everytime I give my clubbers their "homework assignment", one of the gals always manages to incorporate a knome in it.
But you have some very caseable cards.

I had a good time doing this -- when I search for frankie I get pages of cards. Of course, most of them are Frankenstein cards, but that's ok LOL!

Yep. After coming across a CASE of one of my cards while just randomly cruising the gallery one day, I thought, "Hmm... wonder if anybody else has CASEd me?" LOL  It's quite interesting to see which cards people have chosen worthy enough to CASE.
I like to search quite often actually, because I like to praise those people's cards and thank them for allowing my work to inspire them.

Wow, I decided to try this on my screen name and several people cased me. It's nice to know I can inspire just as others have inspired me. Thanks for enabling me to do a vanity check. :0)

Well that was cool! I thought first I had done it wrong, because my gallery cards all came up. Then I realized that they were ALL there, (not laid out in albums) and then I saw the odd other card that I know I didn't make, but made by someone I did an image swap with...
then I saw that SophieLaFontaine cased me, Sophie of all people!! I was very honoured.
Whenever I have cased someone, I always PM them to thank them for the inspiration so I have assumed that no one has cased my cards... what a nice surprise!

AHA!!! This is how you found out! I was wondering about you and other people I had cased - they were leaving comments on my cased cards! All today! *laughing* and I DID leave a comment on your card that inspired mine! In that comment I said "my SIL liked it so much she asked me to case it for her" (oh! I like it too!!! But she has a special fondness for purple and for butterflies) I thought you had gone back to that card and re-read the comment and then came to search my gallery for it.
But then someone else I had cased also left a comment on the cased card and I thought wow, this is some weird coincidence!
I do try to leave comments on the inspiration card specifically saying I had cased their card! Really I do!
...and, I am honoured that you would be honoured!
To the OP : Thanks for starting this thread!
