Red face unmounting stamps

Hi, I saw a thread somewhere that was talking of unmounting stamps and storing them in CD cases I believe. I was not sure what they were talking about and now I can not find the thread to find out. Does anyone know what I am talking about? Also if you do can you tell me about it and how it works. TIA

Kate

Kate, what they are talking about is taking their wood mounted rubber stamps off the wood and using some Ez-mount foam or some other means to have their stamp Temperately stick to an Acrylic Block and then peel them off and place them in Old Style CD case.

I know some of the ladies have taken their wood mounted stamps and placed them in the mirco Wave for about 10 seconds to loosen the sticky foam from the wood.

and then used either Tack it over & over glue, or used thin ez-mount foam.

This is something I havent done with my wood mounted stamps...Don't think I will either.

Their are companies out there that sell unmounted Rubber stamps. and they either come with a full sheet of Ez-mount foam or they come as Just rubber.

The Unmounted Stamps save ton's of Space. and Most of the time cost less than wood mounted Rubber stamps.

I'll look around to see if I can find the thread for you. And I will post it here for you and other's to view.

Thank you this is very helpful. I am not sure if I am ready for that yet, I don't have too many stamps sets to become overbearing yet!
