Default What colors do you use for snowflakes?

I am prepping my Birthday Calendar workshop and for January I am going to use Lace Snowflakes....unless someone has a better suggestion.

<hint hint>

Anyways, was about to stamp then realized I don' t think Bliss Blue is the right color!!!

What do you generally use??

I've used Bril. Blue for them, and Night of Navy looks good too!

Night of Navy. Ballet or Brocade can work too, depending on what I'm doing.

I have just recently purchased this calendar and actually did do snowflakes for January. I don't have the Lace Snowflakes, but I used the regular snowflake set. I used Brillant Blue, Night of Navy and Lavendar Lace. Looks really nice. HTH

There is a seminew card in the gallery that really caught my eye because of the colors Kerry D-C used...I thought it was very refreshing...also if you look in the gallery you can search by snowflake and there are a ton of items in there!!! Be sure to post what you decide to use.
Here is that link

Last night I tried using Night of Navy and second stamped it with Versamark and then Hologram EP!!! Can we say - LIVE IT!

My stamp is slightly off set but for me that added to the charm of the Holo EP!

My favorite was using night of navy and bordering blue then dazzling diamonds on top.

Thanks for the great color combos!!!

I ended up using Frost for a few of the flakes but then used the orchid, bliss blue and amethyst as well. Looks really cool! I will take pictures when I am done with the calendar and post them.

Thanks again!

I like Going Gray for snowflakes and other snowy effects, it's very soft and delicate, a nice change from the darker colors that have a big contrast on white.

I recently uploaded a tag that I made using the snowflake from Little Layers II. I made one layer from Night of Navy and embossed the snowflake with Silver EP, then layered on top with vellum and a stamp from the All Year Cheer set which was also embossed with the Silver EP. I absolutely love the results! Here's the link:
Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

Maybe you could use Night of Navy and stamp with white pigment ink?

I like to use Bliss Blue or Night of Navy...for the Night of Navy I stamp full strength and then stamp again before re-inking.

I like using "the unexpected" for snowflakes, like pinks and purples. Try using Tempting Turquoise, Orchid Opulence, and Pink Passion. I also like to sub in Lovely Lilac for the Pink if I'm needing something a little less girlie for my project. The Blue Frost Spectrum pad is a great idea too. Will have to try that - thanks for the tips!

We copied from a calendar my upline gave me -
Brilliant blue, orchid opulence, silver embossed. Stunning!
It depends on what 'feel' you are going for. This one jumps out at you where softer colors would give you an entirely different look. Don't rule out any color until you try it..... well - green snowflakes may not work
