This is what I have. I never did paint it but it works just fine and fits other pads too besides SU. A lot of people love the spinner style that sits on the table. I didn't want one of those for I wanted them to be against the wall to take up less space. There are a lot more clever people than me out there so will be fun to see what they have!
I copied someone on this site and use indoor shutters. They are clipped at the top and bottom to keep them at the right angle. You can usually find them at garage sales and thrift shops. It holds many different brands.
I got these two cassette holders years ago.. one was $1.25 and the other was $2.00.. best $$ I ever spent on my stamping habit.
Please excuse my mess.. I have a dining room table that sits behind me and it's covered too.. I been busy stamping cards for deployed troops.
Pam
*ps. I did buy two more for my mom at a Goodwill store last year.

I sometimes find these cassette holders at my thrift store, but pass them up because I don't need a pad holder In fact I have one for sale from WI stamp supply

I have one of the wood spinner racks and then these acrylic shelves from Eldon. I don't have a current picture (or a close up) but you can see them on my work table.
wow I'm jealous! I love you space...I have a space in my hubby office but I miss working from home...I have taken any pictures yet but You have an awsome spot to play in!

I got a MM Embellishment Center at Michaels with a coupon. Since CTMH pads can stack, you don't need slots. I have all the CTMH pads, and can fit them all, with room to spare, on two of the shelves. I have more than enough space for 7 SU more pads and a few Pallette pads. It looks very nice.
Do you have to buy the ink pad inserts for SU? this looks like a neat item, covers a smaller area for storage, might have to get one, thanks for sharing
I'm liking the rummage sale ideas and the $$ too.
I want something that goes up to the wall and not take up space for spinning.
Thanks everyone, you've giving me some great ideas.
Keep em coming,
Julie
My hubby made me this for Christmas What a Mery Christmas for me! by wendykins at Splitcoaststampers I have a picture of it up on the wall and filled(or mostly filled, LOL) but my camera is acting up, I will try again later. He also made me a punch holder too!
Love the storage solutions that so many of you use. I have so many brands of ink and different size pads-chalk queues, ancient page, small little stampin spots, etc. that I have a different system. My stamping area is a big table and I have several pretty wicker baskets sorted by color. Blues and purples are in one, pinks and reds in one, greens in one, etc. I can reach them all from where I sit and see just what shades of a color I have without having to remember which company it is. Not as pretty but it works for me!
I bought these in a pack of three at xmas tree shops. The bottom one will fit 48 ink pads...how convenient. The top could fit 30. It works great!!! and for 12.99 how could I resist?
I have magnets holding my cat's eyes and H20's on a metal board.
I just bought a CH cropper hopper 3 drawer organiser for my odd full size pads. http://www.cropperhopper.com/index.a...ROD&ProdID=301
I also use the IKA DVD rack for my stampin up pads. Stackebo DVD holders from IKEA
I'll post pics when I get home.

Reason: added more info
IKEA no longer carries the Stackebo DVD holders. :( Sad, I know. I was fortunate to snag some of Dzyntec's acrylic holders before they went out of business. I just wish they still were available so I could get some for my craft pads.
I wonder if Ikea has anything even remotely similar...I'd like to see what it looks like to get an idea...hmmmm maybe I'll google it and see if any pics come up...
I have a tape holder from kingdom.com - real wood for $20 plus shipping, or they varnish them also for a couple dollars more. Mine holds 100 cassettes or ink pads. They look like they should fall out but they don't.

no you don't need inserts for the SU! inkpads...only the CTMH pads or the old style SU!...but the new pads (with the flip tops rather than the hinge tops) fit just fine without inserts...
I guess I have to get off this site! I have been spending too much money lately. And, it isn't stopping yet...I of course had to buy this. TFS. I get together with people to stamp often and need something portable. I love how they are all easily accessible, but it's still very portable. I've been using a Sterilite container, but hate having to shuffle through them to find what I need. The only downside I see for this system is that I won't be able to fit the In Colors. Oh well. Maybe I will eventually buy another.
