yeah the gals that started this are super nice too. they have been selling now for a few months but had trouble with getting the website up and running.
oh WHY oh WHY did I look! There are some sets that are just MUST haves for me (Look Both Ways, On the Trail and Cheers) and the watch parts hardware is so cool!
Okay, so who already has some stamps from them? I'm not too keen on clear stamps, but find that I can work with Papertrey, though it does take me a while to adjust from the "touch" required for rubber to the "touch" required for the polymer stamps. Anyway, anyone who has both these and Papertrey - how do they compare?

Ya, it says they are clear. I guess I just don't understand the priming part - anyone?.....
When you do that with the clear stamps, it seems to keep the ink from beading up on them. It just makes for a cleaner image. I do it with all of my clear stamps.
On the section that talks about their stamps, it says they are made of polymer and there is a picture of a clear penguin stamp. I agree that the name of the company (as in Penguin Pants RUBBER Stamps) is a be misleading. Maybe the originally intended to use rubber but switched to polymer and had already registered the company name?

good to know.
i looked and they do indeed have some very cute stuff. but i prefer rubber.
i am a little overwhelmed with trying to compile a list of rubber stamp sources. i think that is why i tend to stick to SU! (i venture out on occasion) i guess i shouldn't try to fix it if it ain't broke!

cute stuff...i'm glad that i looked cause i wasn't because of the name. i don't like all the penquin images that are out there. Their stuff is adorable. ear marking them for sure so i can order in the near future

Just wanted to report that Penguin Pants has fabulous customer service! I haven't had a chance to ink my stamps but am looking forward to it later tonight!

thats good to hear I hate to recommend a company and then have them not have good service.
it says penguin pants rubber stamps, then in the drop down there is the bit on clear.
anyone know?
they are clear I think they started out wanting to do rubber but the price is really high so they went with the clear ones. makes it nice to see where you are stamping at least
taking an eraser to the stamps first helps break them in a bit. the clear stamps can have a bit of a resist on them from the factory but once they are stamped or primed out they stamp great
