Default Can you post your stamp/scrap-room pictures...

Hi everyone,
We moved into a new house over a year ago and my scrapbook room is a disater. Everything was just shoved in there. Each time I want to create something I have to search for supplies and stamp in my bedroom, where it is then left or shoved back in the scrapbook room someplace...I want to make my scrapbook room nice so that I will enjoy spending time in there.
First I have to purchase either countertops/cupboards and such or some type of storage units and a nice desk. I really would prefer to buy the countertops and whatnot but then we are moving again in a year and I would have to leave them behind in the room, no biggy if I don't have to spend a tom of money!
Can you all post a picture of your room and then explain what you used to put in your room to organize, etc. If possible also add where you purchased your goods from.
Thanks in advance...I am on a mission to get thi smoving along as quickly as possible.

We actually have a gallery dedicated to stamping spaces, but, it's a little tricky to find on the index--it's listed within Special Collections.

Here's a direct link: Studios, Rooms and Craft Closets by barbfarmd at Splitcoaststampers

HTH! Good luck on designing your stamping space! Mind seriously needs cleaning--then it would feel like a new one! LOL!

Why would you have to leave the counters behind when you move. Check out my scrap room p[ics - I have a couple of counters in it and works great.

I moved my room from upstairs to downstairs so the counters are removable to take to another space for sure! Just needed to patch up a few places on the walls and repaint - easy peasy.

My scrap space is currently in the process of being moved from one wall in my office to its own room! I'm so excited. I'll post pics when I'm finished. Here are some things I have already that have been working out really well for me:

My desk from Target (I got it on sale for $150):

My Store in Style cubes (you can use your coupons on these at Joanns. I bought mine at createforless.com):

My wall organizer from Making Memories (got it with a coupon at Michaels):

I just posted my photos of my craft room today. I just don't know how to add the link to them. You may be able to see them by going to my gallery.
dacpam is my name here. I love looking at all the details in everyone else's pictures. There are some amazing ones. Mine is plain and not amazing but it is extremely functional!

Thank you Hannah! I wish I could send you a pantry cabinet like mine! I do love it and holds so much. I appreciate your positive comment a lot! I have been rather nervous about posting photos of my area. Been in it for almost 2 years now but just decided this week to try it. My area is rather plain compared to all the great ones out there. But I like neat and a place for everything so it works really well for me.

Thanks again. You made me smile. Pam

Amy, you'll have so much fun. Gosh just when I get mine done, I see tons more of all ya'lls pictures and start thinking again I love looking in the SCS gallery for ideas and also just googling different terms like scrapbook room, scrapbook storage, stamping room, punch storage, paper store, etc. and look at all the blogs and pix that come up. There's also a great photo gallery out there of someone's "shed" - looks like a scrappin' store it's so beautiful! And of course Nichole Heady's is awesome too. You can check out my blog. I just posted pictures on Tuesday:
http://impressyourself.typepad.com/i...y-stampin.html
Good luck and be sure and post when you're done so we can all see.

WOW!!! I went to the scrapbook room link and was so amazed by the awesome rooms all of you have...I wouldn't dare post a picture of my room right now. I will post one once I decide on what to do...LOL!
We may end up going to order cabinets and countertops, but I really like alot of the drawer things too.
I am going to keep looking...THANK you all so much!

I am wondering if you can answer a question for me about Nicole's scraproom.
I am very interested in her "main storage wall. That would fit one of my walls perfectly!
Do you think these were store bought or custom made cabinets?
I would like to know.

Right now, my supplies are stored in those 3-drawer plastic cabinets and are sitting in the DR. DH is supposed to build me a cabinet with shelves ... whenever he gets the time. (Add that to the list of him putting up some shelves in the garage and adding some shelves to a tall closet cabinet ... I'm not taking bets on which one will be done first. lol)

She says in another post:
All of the cabinetry is Mill's Pride Closet organization pieces from Home Depot. They sell bases that you can install and then customize with a variety of drawers, shelves and doors. The best thing is that it is ALL re-adjustable, so if I change my mind later, I can move things around.

When my youngest got married, I moved the guest/play room to his bedroom and turned the old one into my scrapping/stamping place. But because of aging moms and kids who move back in to save up for a home (2 down, 2 to go, lol!) I had to make it easily movable and adaptable to other spaces in my house in case I have to convert it back to a bedroom.

So instead of an actual counter, I topped my units with melamine boards from either Home Depot or Lowes. (sorry, can't remember which store had them). They're not as deep as a counter but they fit the units perfectly. After stamping on the kitchen table it felt a little small but I open the drawers and everything from adhesives and scissors to the heat gun and crop-a-dile are in easy reach so I actually have more space since tools don't clutter it. The melamine tops are sturdy, cleanable, adjustable, portable, and didn't cost much.

Nothing is attatched to the wall or each other and everything is sturdy and easily moved.

Good luck with your space - it's so nice not to haul bins to the kitchen. You'll love having your own place! Hope it comes together perfectly for you.

These rooms are gorgeous. I am currently in a spare bedroom, the smallest of the four I have. We have an international student living with us now, but after her departure I am moving into that BR which is the next largest. For sure white is going to be my base color, and hardwood floor is sounding pretty good too.
Thanks for sharing all this inspiration.

Default Here's mine.

Here's mine. I'm in the smallest room in the house which is the dining room. It just didn't fit family of 5 with the table. It was quite cramming so we switched rooms and I got this. The pictures are in my gallery.

FYI

regarding Nicole's room and her saying that her cabinets were Mills Pride, ck your home depot, but they are discontinuing that brand I believe. I have Mill's pride in my office that I did 8 years ago and I want to add some new ones. Now my home depot only has Kraftmaid which of course is more expensive although it looks the same.

Such great ideas and inspiring spaces here. I have a couple of pieces by Sauder (available at Canadian Tire and Sears in Canada) - a craft desk (which stores my sewing machine as well) and an organizer which is great for paper and all. here are a couple of links:

I'm still organizing and figuring out where I want things, but it's wonderful to have a clear work surface!!
