I was reading Beates blog (where she just made the most darling kickstand card with the new GinaK set...can't recall the name...has the cute hippo, giraffe); anyhoo, she was saying how she always HAS to use certain items on her cards, or else it feels weird. I think she mentioned All in a Row for faux stitching, ticket punch, photo corners.
What do you find yourself ALWAYS using, for almost every card, until you start to feel self-conscious about it and think you should lay off for a while? That you might be boring the gallery! LOL!
For me, it is the ticket punch, brads and ribbon (natch). I cannot seem to make a card without at least one of these 3 three items.
Funny you should ask this question - I was just thinking of asking it myself! For me, it is definitely the ticket punch - I just about can't make a card without using it.
Gotta have ribbon! I feel like my card is bare without it.

Definitely ribbon for me! I made a card without it the other day and it looked like I would feel if I left home with no shirt on! I always try to stick a little bow on, a piece here or there, or something. I thought the other day that I need to move on to something else, but ribbon is just so AWESOME!
I don't have any one thing, but these are the things I use very often:
--Stickles
--Scallop punches (any)
--Photo Corner punches
--Copic coloring
--Cuttlebug embossing folders (via cardstock on backgrounds)
Of course, this is always subject to change when new things come out!
I always have inked edges on my cards for that distressed look, but other than that--I seem to have many cards with buttons and patterned paper. Lots of polka dot organdy ribbon too.

hmmm
Now that I think about it:
-patterned paper
-die cut shapes
-inked edges
I tend to use at least one of these on every card (or scrapbook page) I make.

I'm always using designer paper. Even on a solid color card I've got to get a little pattern in there somewhere. And I am always reaching for the Stickles bottle. And for some reason I just cant create a flat card -- it just looks really wrong. I always need the little 3-D square pop-ups.

After a long drought of papercrafting, all of the cards that I have made this year have some patterned paper and dots for dimension. And brads/eyelets (some kind of hardware).
