Red face Invitation Wording Help Needed!

I need a way to send an invitation to a group of people for a retirement get-together, but the wording needs to be such that it is clear that it is for a pay-your-own-way dinner/drinks, etc. Can this be tactfully and eloquently done?

TIA!!!

We do this all the time. Not sure if it is tactful but it is the way we do it in our office.

"Retirement Party/Luncheon for Daven"

Please help us celebrate Daven's 65 Years with SCS

When: February 1, 2008
Where: Puerto Rico Holiday Inn
Cost: $25 includes the cost of your lunch, Daven's lunch, and a gift for Daven

RSVP: etc!

Joan's wording works for me.

Or maybe you could say something like:
Please join us for dinner at XYZ
(Please be prepared: your dinner will run in the $8-12 range.)

?? I don't know... that's off the top of my head. Is it informal enough that you could include a sample menu?

hahahahahah--prob feels like 65 years! I'll come to that one too, but it just can't be for his SCS retirement! Thanks for the idea.
