I see lots of other fellow Stampers from many other places--i don't run into many from AZ...I'm sure you're all out there...anyone else from the Grand Canyon State? Who is your favorite Rubber Stamp store?
I spend most of the winter in Tucson. Where are you? Tucson had Stampin Sanity. It was open when I left to go back East end of April. I got here about 2 weeks ago and it's gone.
I am in Peoria. I mainly go to Red Rubber Stamps 59th ave and Cactus, Recollections at Arrowhead mall area, Michaels, and Joanns. There are lots of stampin buddies here for you
I live in Tucson and mainly order from SU because as another poster mentioned Stampin Sanity here closed. Did not like the store too much to start with.
I'm also in Tucson. Stampin' Sanity closing was a bummer, but it makes me order from myself more rather than the impulse shopping I tended to do. Making Memories Unforgettable on Broadway and Alvernon is going to start doing special order catalogs for stamps monthly. They sent out an email about it earlier this week. I don't know what companies they are planning on ordering from, but they are usually really great about getting what you want so I'm sure they would be up for suggestions. Also, they are having a 12 days of Christmas promo and sent out email coupons yesterday or Monday. On December 17th they will be giving 20% off of all stamp special orders. Just send me a pm or an email if you would like me to forward you the coupon.
I live in Mesa and really enjoy StampWorks in Chandler. I heard a rumor that a Hobby Lobby is supposed to be built on the east side at Greenfield and Baseline by the end of next year. At least I can drive to the west side's Hobby Lobby until then!
I will be back in Arizona next summer--can't wait!!! I use to go to Red Rubber on 51st and Cactus. I love the fact that there are so many JoAnns and Michaels around. I will so miss the Recollections when they close. Germany was nice but I soooooooo want to be back home!
I have neve been to Red Rubber at 51st ave and Cactus. Will have to drive there soon and see what I can find.

I Live out in Apache Junction. I shop at Scrapbooks Etc. on Lindsey & university. & They also are building a Hobby Lobby out here on Signal Butte & Southren NW corner. It doesnt have a Date it just says Coming soon. !! Thats even closer to me then the one on Greefield. I cant wait.!!
NW Phoenix here. I took a class at Red Rubber, but didn't think they had lots of stamps--of course they'll order for you. I've been ordering on-line from Papertrey Ink lately.

OMG...you have made my day, I so hope this is true! That is litterally up the street from me, maybe 2 miles at most! I have never even been to the one on I-10...that is just too dang far for me!

Further, but not far...has this one actually been started? I will have to make a trip out there and check it out!
I'm down near Tucson. If you live down here...there is a new scrapbook store on River and La Cholla in the Bashas plaza. It's really nice...I think nicer than any of the others in town. Nice big work room with comfy chairs...TONS of paper and product. They don't carry a lot of stamps but they do carry some of the clear stamps.
Otherwise I buy most of my stamps online or from my SU rep...or my CTMH rep...or... Well, you get the idea! ;-)
There is also a small scrapbook store in Casa Grande behind the Cracker Barrel restaurant and the one time I stopped in there and asked about a Roadrunner stamp - she was nice enough to special order it for me and have it shipped to me. Not a huge store but I liked that she was willing to do that.
Nancy I live in NW phoenix too! I am sad that recollections is closing too :( I am going to go find that new Hobby Lobby though and check it out on Christmas break !
We spend some time in AZ. Is Crafts Fifth Ave. still in TUcson - not too far from I-10 on the north side, but I don't recall the address. It started in Casa Grande and moved a few years ago. In Casa Grande the owner put on awesome make and takes - pretty much got me going in stamping.

C5thA is still there, but it is under new owners now. The orig. owners from Phx/Casa Grande sold it about a year or so ago. It is doing ok, but I'm wondering how long it will be able to hold on now that the new one (Pages in Progress on River and La Cholla) opened up right up the street. (It is amazing by the way!)
I, too, will be very sad when Recollections closes their doors...forever!:(
The Creative Quest in downtown Glendale offers many fun, Artsy stamps. It is an awesome place! In fact, one of the owners was "THE TEACHER" that taught Tim Holtz about stamping years ago...when they both worked for Ben Franklin's in Prescott!!!
Sorry for intruding, but I'm sticking my nose in to have this thread in my subscriptions. My hubby and I will be in Phoenix (East Marriott Dr.) for 3 days at the end of February. I want to look at this later and try to figure out where we are in relation to the stores you have mentioned... se if I can't squeeze in some stampin' shoppin'; you guys have so many wonderful things down there! I've never been there before and have some figurin' to do! Thanks and you gals have a fabulous day!

Wonderful! You'll love the weather here at that time. Just visit this thread/post again if you want more detail and directions to ANY stores when you visit..."The Valley of the Sun"
I am a long-time stamper here in central Phoenix and have been frequenting The Creative Quest (and back when it was Katie's Closet) in downtown Glendale for years. It's a wonderful place. The ladies are so nice and helpful. I especially enjoy the store's 10-card Extravaganza every month or so(10 different cards - $1 each; make as many as you want). And I always participate in the card exchange they sponsor every month.
Location: Dreaming of scrapbooking, while studying for boards!!

I just went to Glendale for the Fiesta Bowl!! Go WVU!!! My husband and I typed scrapbook into our GPS and then went searching for over an hour for a store that had closed down 2 years ago. We had a plane to catch, so couldn't search much more. I did stop in at Michaels and got a few things on sale. However, I was looking for some fiesta bowl, Arizona, or Grand Canyon stickers/paper to scrapbook our trip. If any of you can help me please PM me!!
I'm in the northwest valley, Surprise. I live in AZ Traditions and have met a group of ladies who introduced me to rubber stamping and SCS. We try to get together once a week for card making Nov thru June. Most of the gals are "snow birds"; I'm here year 'round .
My favorite store is also Creative Quest, but I buy most of my stuff online. It's just more convenient.
I, too, am sad Recollections is closing at Arrowhead as its only a couple of miles from my house. Red Rubber stamps is good, but was better when Viriginia owned it (more variety stamps) - don't get me wrong - the new owner(s) are very nice and will order anything you like. The Creative Quest is the best!! I just love Judy and Kathy and all the ladies there. The 10-Card Extrav. ROCKS!! Their classes are so unique as well. I am sad that in the past couple of years so many scrapbook and rubber stamps stores that were around for years have all closed in and around the Phoenix area. This leaves us with conventions and online more and more. Joann's and Michael's are ok but I wish they would get a buyer in that rotates new stamps lines once every 10 years (or so it seems). Mostly I'm going to miss Recollections because they carried so many paper lines that J & M's dont.
Ladies for those of you who haven't been out to the Hobby Lobby at the 101 & I-10 -- what are you waiting for? HL has become the closest thing to a Ben Franklin or Craftsmart since both of these closed. The stamp selection is only slightly better than J & M's but the entire store rocks if you're a crafter.
Anyway -- I think I mentioned I'm in Glendale - Arrowhead Ranch area.
I am in Arrowhead area too, about a half mile from the mall. Now that i have heard so much about Creative Quest I need to go check it out. What are the cross streets in Glendale? I agree that we are losing some good stores lately, yet there is a Walgreens on every corner

Dawn
I just printed the map last night so my mom and I can check it out. It's in downtown Glendale at 57th Dr. and Palmaire (2 streets north of Glendale Ave & just east of 59th Ave). HTH I think they're having one of their Card Extravaganzas soon.
I've been in Tucson since August. (I don't like the heat :( ) It's so good to see other stampers here! and hear about stores I don't know about. I do miss the HL we had in Texas.
Thanks Anne for getting the info to Dawn. Yes, there is a 10 Card Extravaganza on Tuesday, October 22. Kathy's weekly newsletter (email) said "Love, Love, Love" was this month's theme.
Mom and I usually try and go during the day while my 6 yo daughter is in school and have our 'play time'. Maybe we can all meet up at one of these events.

Jane
Oooh, might have to check that one in CG out the next time I am there.
All caught up -- my favorite store is Scrapbooks Etc at University and Lindsay (between Gilbert and Val Vista roads) in MESA! It is a wonderful store and i bet if you go there, you will fall in love!!!
I also spent a lot of time at The Creative Quest in Glendale (when I lived over in Phx) and Hobby Lobby (on that side too)
I am in Maricopa, AZ now and so far have shopped the sales at Recollections (until they close) and JoAnn's and Michaels. I really want to find Stamp Works in Chandler though.
Also, who would be interested in getting together here in Maricopa at my house to stamp one Saturday (we could do a swap and eat snacks and meet one another) LMK if you would be interested . . .
I am in Peoria. My favorite place to shop is Creative Quest also. My FIL bought me the nesties from there for Christmas and the ladies were very nice to him. They even gave him a discount on them because they were having a storewide holiday sale (I believe) on the day that he picked them up. In fact I am planning on going there today. After that is probably the Michaels I used to work at about 1/2 mile from me. If Scrapbook Etc. wasn't so far for me I would go there more often too!
