Default Please answer....Gallery question

I'd like to start a gallery but I don't have a scanner. Can you set up a gallery with a digital camera? If so, when I take the picture of a "vertical" standing card, do I need to turn my camera vertical? Or keep the camera horizontal, like normal? I know, dumb questions, but hey....I'm not the best candidate when it comes to this type of stuff. Plus do I just upload them to my computer? And then what? I'm usually a visual person. But hopefully, someone can explain STEP BY STEP. It'd be much appreciated. Thanks Pam

Yes you can use a digital to add pics to your gallery.
Take the pic and then upload them to your computer.
Once that is done you should go into your photo program and "clean them up"
By this I mean crop out if there is a lot of extra speace, etc. so that when it goes in your gallery the image is the main part.
Save it again with a unique name (like do NOT just leave it as scan00001, etc. Give it a name like maslexsubtles flowers or soemthing like that).

For more directions about uploading, I refer you to this thread.
Hope that helps!

Thanks Britta, I'm hoping to get a chance to take the pictures today. Don't know how long it'll take me to actually figure everything out, but maybe by next week sometime I could actually have a gallery. Thanks again, Pam
